More than 1 in 5, or 21 percent, of Generation Z adults, 18 to 25, identify as LGBTQ, Gallup found. That's almost double the proportion of millennials, who are 26 to 41, at 10.5 percent, and nearly five times the proportion of Generation X, who are 42 to 57, at 4.2 percent. Less than 3 percent of baby boomers, who are 58 to 76, identify as LGBTQ, compared to just 0.8 percent of traditionalists, who are 77 or older.

I guess the older you are the more square and boring?

I encourage people to read: Crazy Like Us: The Globalization of the American Psyche. It doesn't speak to LGBTQ specifically, but the same concepts apply. Once something becomes "a thing" and is accepted culturally, it grows exponentially because while some people may actually have/be whatever the label is, a lot of people will subconsciously flock that way when they never would have otherwise.

I especially like this quote from the book summary:
"In teaching the rest of the world to think like us, we have been homogenizing the way the world goes mad."

It's one of three things:

1) Gallup is inflating the numbers to help justify the left's continued hard line support for "LGBTQ friendly" policies.

2) The numbers of these Sexually Deviant people are increasing because of the push from the pillars of the culture (education, entertainment, social media, news, and government itself).

3) A mix of both 1 and 2 from above.

The good news is that this deviant movement can not sustain itself in perpetuity, and will be unraveled and decimated by future generations. The defeat of sexual deviancy as normative in society is certain. It's a matter of if our American empire can survive the enormous damage it has done to the culture itself, order in the society, and societal cohesion and any semblance of unity.

Yep -- my 12 year old niece told her dad that so many of the girls in her school in northern Collin County are telling her "It's cool to be LGBTQ". So many declare that they are.

For adults, corporations are rewarding applicants for mentioning this on resumes. Why is anyone shocked at these findings?

The goal of the deviants and their supporters has always been the normalization of deviancy. I knew the pushback to their agenda would eventually come..... but it is accelerating quickly, and the normies are even waking up.

Yep. The book I mentioned touches some on this. It's not even necessarily that kids deliberately decide that they'll do it for attention but that they'll subconsciously go there because society gives the reward they're seeking. It'd sad really.

When I was 10 I just wanted to play football, hunt snakes and rabbits with my pellet gun, and spend time with my hound dog. I guess I was toxically male. No wonder I ended up as an Aggie Engineer. I was a loser but didn't know it. I felt woke when I smelled bacon in the morning. I'm a dinosaur.

sexual deviancy was one of the drivers that lead to the rise of the Nazi party in Germany during the Weimar Republic days. Much of the German citizenry wanted a return to cultural norms and decency. Unfortunately, they ultimately supported the party that came from the degeneracy. And make no mistake about that. The Nazi party was formed and ultimately lead by degenerates. To be clear, the political side, the military side.

Like someone above mentioned, right now it's the fad to say you're "fluid" if you don't want to commit to something along the LGBTQXYZ line.

Tell me what those same people say in a decade and I guarantee it'll be more along what every other generation says.

Now, there still may be more than previous generations, mostly because no one today is afraid of backlash like previous generations had to face, but it still won't be anywhere near what they say now.

Many claim some form of non-binary sexuality for hierarchical status or social acceptance amongst peers.

Only s small fraction of them practice the sexuality they claim. They may for example claim to be non-binary or bisexual but never actually engage in intimacy with anyone but the opposite sex, if they do anything at all, or they exaggerate an instance of experimentation into a lifestyle.

Only fairly normal/stable pre-2000's population fractions are practicing these alternative sexualities, generally, when researchers pry deeper into it than superficial questionnaires and surveys. It's just become popular and socially advantageous to claim it. You get instant minority protected status and privileges and protection from criticism by the mob.

I'd be interested to see the breakdown by sex assigned at birth.

I'll bet young females claiming to be Lesbian is at least 2:1 versus young males claiming to be Gay.

Would also like to see the breakdown by race because I'll bet it's still close to 0% for Black and Hispanic men claiming to be gay.
