I find it extremely disturbing that this group of White Supremacists showed up in the Republican majority city of Centerville, Texas, chanting "White Power."

While it is possible that every one of the people in these groups are nothing but feds, statistically speaking, that's unlikely. Even if there are, I'd think they're doing these things just to see who comes to their groups that is a "true believer". Then they can use those f'ktards to find other f'ktards and see what they can do with them and people in their personal and interweb circles.

The extreme right and the extreme left both have groups of people that attach themselves to sets of ideologies that frame themselves as superior people just for adopting and advocating the respective ideologies, such that complete life losers in all other respects (whether their own fault or tragic fate) can still build up their egos that they are better than their political opposition because they believe righteous things.

The left had orders of magnitude more of these types right now because the right's version of this has been successfully repressed or culturally diffused, but there still are some extremely right wingers that need to believe they are the righteous because that is all they have going for them. It's a cheap way to claim a stake in the accomplishments of others just by claiming association.

Agreed. Unfortunately these idiots do exist...but likely not in the numbers the media tends to promote. I would hope the feds have an idea when these folks are meeting in large numbers in public...even if its just to alert local authorities. But ultimately these events are innocuous.

I'm not sure about posing absolutely no violent threat. These folks aren't the brightest, both intellectually and emotionally. I could see a spark setting things off like in Carolina, but generally, they do peacefully protest. I'm not any kind of expert and haven't done a deep dive into research about their numbers, so I wouldn't presume to state confidently. Plus I think there would be nuances to their numbers. So folks might be in attendance but not full fledge members. Maybe they were just bored and got invited by someone else. I wouldn't count them.
