Be advised...

Quote:

An advocacy and think tank organization issued a travel advisory to California and Minnesota after lawmakers passed legislation to override out-of-state parental rights.

The American Principles Project (APP) is warning parents across the United States of the possibility of their parental rights being stripped away as recent legislation in California and Minnesota move to give state family courts the power to take temporary emergency jurisdiction over a minor coming into the state to access sex-change drugs or surgical procedures, regardless of if the minor is traveling from another state.

Two states who have lost their way. Why would anyone want to go to Minnesota anyway?

This was dumb when the NCAAP did it, and it's dumb here.

People right of center need to stop playing the virtue signal game.

Possibly to recruit pirates is the only thing I can come up with.

Reasons in the past were hunting and fishing, the land of 10,000 lakes. Too bad the insane leftist progressives have seized control of this beautiful state.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

Like a lot of liberal states, once you get out of the big cities you find some beautiful areas. And in Minnesota the North Shore area from Duluth to the Canadian border is a pretty area.

Minnesota is one of those states where a single large metro area dictates law for everyone in the state. Lots of rural conservative Minnesotans but not nearly enough to offset BSC twin cities.

Maybe so maybe not. Might be good to have a heads up before taking a trip, especially with a confused child. Kid screams he wants to transition but mean mommy and daddy won't approve and - boom! They/them are now state property…..and the legal fight($$$$) begins.

Sounds really far-fetched but here we are.
I don't think you know me.

Good on ya'. You're a good dad. If I was a bazillionaire, I'd take my daughters to a Taylor Swift concert too.

Alas, I'm an lolpoor so they're relegated to seeing concerts like Loverboy at the Calhoun County Flip Flop Festival.

I've spent a decent enough amount of time in Minnesota with my huband's family owning property in Iowa right on the Minnesota boarder. Best I can tell, Minnesota suffers from the same issue as Illinois - the one major city (well, St. Paul isn't any better) is screwing everything for the rest of the state that is significantly more conservative.

In any case, I don't get why anyone would go there from October through March anyway.
