For me it was when they refused to prosecute killary.

Is there anyone on here who does actually have any faith or trust in the fbi?

Edit: Saying "faith/trusted" was for lack of a better term. Maybe saying feeling that the fbi actually tried to do their job.

Haven't really thought about it, but that's probably a good place to start.

Hillary knowingly and willingly broke the law and they let her off.

When they did nothing to McCabe and Strzok, that was it for me.

Jury nullification is the way forward imo.

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

No way was the FBI ever going to touch Hilldawg. She is too dangerous for them.

When I saw what they did to Mike Flynn (and got away with it) I knew it was over.

The FBI does not prosecute people. On federal level, that's US attorneys They are the ones that didn't have a grand jury try to indict (that we know of)

Haha. Every time I start a post, I try to think of how I will be negatively responded to/flamed/attacked (whatever).

I didn't even think of this one. it really made me laugh for some reason.

I wasn't too surprised they were slow walking Hillary but all of the immunity deals normally indicates they are building a case and going up the food chain.

But then the tango on the tarmac between Loretta and Bill and that very bizarre Comey presser. I disliked Holder immensely thought Lynch was incompetent but Comey was beyond the pale.

1983 - They tried to sting my dad into buying "stolen" oilfield equipment. Turns out it was a competitor in cahoots w/ the FBI. Same tactics you see now. Gotta believe they've always been crooked.

They used the word "intent" when they let her off. IANAL, but I always understood that was not a legitimate defense. It might reduce the sentence but doesn't relieve you from prosecution or conviction.

I have never really "trusted" the FBI. I just thought there were just some bad apples in a good bunch.

As for complete mistrust, the Hillary email and Russia fiasco started it.

Not prosecuting the insurrectionists that stormed and burned police buildings and destroyed businesses in 2020 confirmed that it was a cesspool of corruption.

Depends on the wording of the applicable statute. But in Hillary's case with classified documents, simple negligence was sufficient for prosecution.

Which makes it all the more interesting if the Special Counsel indicts Trump over the MAL docs, which statutes he uses since there is a specific statute applicable to Presidents.

ABSCAM nabbed a bunch of corrupt Democrats, but it should have been a red flag to America that the FBI is out of control. That the FBI continues unabated and people in New Jersey still vote for Democrats tells me we are lazy creatures. Sorry to hear they tried to entrap your family.

Conclusion written before even speaking with the person being investigated.
Asked here where to meet for interview.
Asked her when to meet for interview.
Meeting not recorded just notes taken.
Had lawyers attend with her including Cheryl Mills who was part of the investigation. Both attorneys were witnesses that had been interviewed several times prior.

It was clear she was getting a pass and on to be the next president.

Normal citizens would still be in prison.

I actually thought it was reasonable for him to explain the thinking, although of course he was never going to be able to satisfy people. Basically said no, I'm not saying she did nothing wrong. She mishandled classified stuff and put that info at risk, but there was no evidence of her deliberately trying to put it in the wrong hands or anything like that. People lose their clearance or get fired or disciplined for being lazy or reckless with classified stuff all the time, but nobody gets criminally charged just for that.

IMO where he really screwed up was announcing a week before the election that they were looking into the possibility that new some info relevant to the investigation might exist. How about go ahead and look into that first and see if there is anything to announce?

This is the answer for me. I have always thought it was crazy when people would say that the rank and file was still decent. No. The rank and file have been corrupt since they got their first taste of American blood.

From their inception and still to this day.

Throughout their history, they've been loved by some and hated by others until they did things that caused people who loved them to hate than and vice-versa.

They are the epitome of "First they came for...and I said nothing."

If someone supported what they did to a group and then are now upset at them because they're part of the group they (FBI) are coming after, they're part of the problem and have no one to blame but themselves

Always knew they were willing to be corrupt in order to prosecute. That's always been a concern with all law enforcement.

But the corruption to not prosecute is taking it to a whole new level.

Or one word, Comey.

Say whatever you want about Trump but he was the catalyst that pulled back the curtain. A HUGE service to our country. And he's paying the price for it.

Since the FBI is part of DOJ, all transgressions by the FBI can also be attributable to malfeasance at DOJ.

better question: now that you have awaken to reality how could you ever have had faith in the fbi. look at their storied past. it is littered with corruption since it's founding under j edgar hoover. it's odd that so many in the fbi are gay like he was.
