He was in Odessa as interim superintendent with the Ector County ISD at one time and if I recall correctly left under a cloud of some kind of controversy.

I would like to know if they have any "how to" books in the library.

The school's homepage has been shut down. I can't find any mention of this school on Niche or Greatschools or the TEA website. Why does this school have no profile page on any of the common school rating websites? Its hard to believe they could have scrubbed the school off of even the TEA website. Does it have another name?

And I wonder where 6 year olds get not only the idea of performing sex acts but also how to do it.

ETA Basically he's a believer in CRT and somehow, while he was superintendent for LCPS, LCPS reported 0 sexual assault while 3 football players were arrested for sexual assault. The whole trans kid raping a girl in the bathroom after being transferred for sexual assaulting another happened after he left, but it seems the same stuff happened during his tenure.

We are just in ccisd at an elementary and haven't had any issues, but I was very skeptical when he was picked up. I must have missed the reasoning for his being forced out, any insight on that?

The "teacher in the room" has no place to hide.

I live here and actually went to grade school at this school, which was originally Hillcrest Elementary. Plainview had the most screwed up system that consisted of 6 different elementary schools, then a different campus for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade, then everyone was mixed back together in high school. They finally built a new school and consolidated elementary schools into 3 (Plainview North, Central and South) and then the middle schools and high school. This has just happened in the last couple of years (plainview central just opened this year) so it's likely the state websites haven't been updated. I did notice that the south schools website was down though, probably to protect identities of other teachers that work there.

There were plenty of people wondering what in the hell a guy would leave Arizona to come to small town west Texas for when he was hired. I haven't dug into this situation enough to know what's actually going on vs what's public opinion but I know there's a lot of pissed off parents in town. School board elections should be interesting in the next cycle.

Thanks - Niche had them listed under Hillcrest. 89% hispanic, 93% free or reduced lunch, 33% reading proficient.

My guess is these boys learned this behavior at home and repeated it at school.

Perhaps the school officials were just too busy watching the video to do anything about it.

Grew up in the area. Farming economy declining, anyone with money is leaving, putting their kids in private schools, or transferred to smaller nearby town schools.

I don't know how the idiot teacher was so clueless, or the administration so despicable, but I agree with posters above, that the behavior was learned somewhere, and CPS should be going after the parents of the perps

This statement of the investigation findings sounds much more realistic than what was alleged. Still horrible that these kids even knew anything about what they were doing. However, it explains why the teacher never saw anything.

My wife works for PISD. One of her coworkers has a child in the classroom that this occurred in, and her child said they didn't see anything happen. The mom said they would've said something if they saw something because her kid is a "little snitch." (Mom's words)

"The law in the State of Texas does not provide for criminal penalties for children under the age of 10, and public schools are prohibited from expelling or suspending children in 3rd grade or below."

Private schools, people. Even at that age, some kids are a danger to their classmates. You have to be able to separate the dangerous kids from the rest of the kids.

Truency is an option. Keep your kids out of there.

Not surprised PISD's investigation showed that they did nothing wrong. I'll wait till an outside entity makes their judgment
