Parent found out that some male actors swap between male and female roles in this production (the last 2000+ years of theater will come as quite a shock to her) and thinks that makes them drag queens. Insisted that field trip be cancelled due to impropriety (school officials acquiesced). I agree that legit drag shows are inappropriate for kids but this is stupid.

Media working overtime to find people who overreact to "drag" anything (given that this probably isn't) in hopes of diverting attention from the real issue - that drag shows are a problem when minors get exposed to explicit sexual content.

The continual push to involve children in the perversion of autogynephiliacs has parents on edge. You can hardly blame them. Count the number of teachers just on TexAgs that support this. It's disturbing.

The agenda-pushing on this is so pervasive. Was watching the Netflix show How To Get Rich. Pretty interesting show where the host has all the financial info from couples or individuals and tries to help them make better financial decisions. Of course by episode 4 one of the characters is a drag queen/king/whatever. There is no escape.

When the nitwits go overboard and project sexualization and inappropriateness where there is none it only serves to discredit those of us who have legitimate concerns over exposure of children to truly inappropriate subject matter. It makes it easier to portray individuals with valid concerns as those who would take things to the point of logical absurdity and minimize the seriousness of the matter.
