You probably shouldn't insult your bosses. And when the bosses persuade a court to redact statements you made about them, you probably shouldn't get upset and wish the whole world knew. Bottomline, don't embarrass the bosses.

Carlson is undoubtedly more valuable financially to FOX than some executive type. But I imagine he will be back in the public eye soon enough, and FOX won't get away with firing him without recompense. They will settle in some way.

Fox lost $1B in market cap upon firing Tucker. Pretty sure the wrong person got fired because now Carlson can go after Fox and air the dirty secrets.

Of all the bull**** floating around about Tucker Carlson and Fox, this has got to be the most lame.

wrong.

This isn't a situation where an employee who sits in a cubicle gets their hand slapped because they bad mouthed management at a Christmas party.,

Tucker is more powerful and influential than any executive at Fox and you're about to see that play out when, not if, he gets into his next venture.

If you're competent executive at Fox, you let this roll off your back and continue to ride your ATM machine into retirement. He could tell my mother to go F herself, and as long as those checks roll in, I don't care. Its business, not personal.

As someone who worked in Corporate America for far too long, I can tell you this situation was emotional, as are far too many in that realm. This was Ego that won out because a "boss' didn't like what an 'employee' said, not seeing that Tucker provided so much more revenue than any management agent could.

I saw it said earlier, "people didn't watch Tucker because he was on Fox, People watched Fox because of Tucker". If you have that situation you say what you want, badmouth who needs to be badmouthed and you speak the truth.

<yawn> If I owned a company and my top salesman was not only the best in the company, but in my entire industry, he could call me an a**hole each day and tell my wife "nice tits" as he left the office each day as long as I continued to make money hand over fists.

I remember once years ago, I was complaining about one of my bosses and my friend looked at me and said "well he's the boss, applesauce".

And then I was like you know what you're right. Doesn't mean you can't have constructive conversations, but when it comes down to it, you're right. You can't insult the boss.

Heard a theory on twitter that the Murdochs are actually looking to sell Fox while it still has value.

Tucker had to go before the sale b/c of the pending litigation.

Cable news is a dying form of media. Trump gave it temporary new life b/c he was so entertaining, but the average Fox viewer is now in their late 60's.

IIRC, Beck left Fox on mutual terms while O'Reilly had several sexual assault/harassment claims against him, so his dismissal was understood and supported by many.

When monetary gain takes over principles and morality.
Now we can begin to understand why our federal government is so corrupt.

Quote:

It's been barely two days since his brutal ouster from Fox News - but Tucker Carlson looks like a man without a care in the world.

The TV firebrand shrugged off the media storm and insisted he was more interested in enjoying a romantic date with his wife Susan as he broke his silence in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com.

'Retirement is going great so far,' chuckled Carlson, 53, as he emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida on Tuesday night.

My post had nothing to do with purpose of existence. If that's your takeaway, I'm at a loss of what else to tell you.

I'd embarrass the sht out of my bosses if it meant I got fired and handed a check for $78MM to walk away.

Especially knowing that there are already other offers on the table to work doing what I want for more money than my previous employer paid me.

The same network that told Newt Gingrich to shut up taking about George Soros because he's off limits
