Showing the courage of their convictions. I wish we had some of that in the US.
...the Big 12 is now viewed as the fifth of the big BCS leagues by many recruits. (Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell; August 2013)

Already the weakest of the “Power Five” conferences, the league (Big 12) is hemorrhaging fans, wins, TV ratings and respect. (SA Express R. Bragg; Oct 12, 2016)

Probably not. This was, I think, the right wing party there, which is around 30 percent of their parliament or whatever, I read.

I dunno, but they will all be labeled as Putin puppets somehow.

This shouldn't be surprising and these people shouldn't be called "Ivans". The UK, France, and Germany have already told Zelensky this deal is over and he needs to negotiate the end of this. And they told him this weeks ago.

The US is the only one left pushing this war.

The UK isn't still strongly supporting Ukraine?…uhhh…where did you get that impression? Frankly most the NATO countries still seem pretty committed to support Ukraine through at least another major offensive sometime this spring, and see what Ukraine can accomplish to set favorable negotiating conditions.

There definitely seems to be some 'this war can't go on forever pressure' but that doesn't mean strong support is going away anytime soon.

From here about a month ago: https://www.wsj.com/articles/natos-biggest-european-members-float-defense-pact-with-ukraine-38966950?st=64xawdtgizg4p72&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

I'm not saying there isn't strong support; I'm just saying they are telling him it's time to wrap this up and negotiate. The US is the only one who is all-in on the war at this juncture. Everyone else is trying to find an off-ramp.

Germany, France and Britain see stronger ties between NATO and Ukraine as a way to encourage Kyiv to start peace talks with Russia later this year, officials from the three governments said, as some of Kyiv's Western partners have growing doubts over its ability to reconquer all its territory.
Quote:

But the public rhetoric masks deepening private doubts among politicians in the U.K., France and Germany that Ukraine will be able to expel the Russians from eastern Ukraine and Crimea, which Russia has controlled since 2014, and a belief that the West can only help sustain the war effort for so long, especially if the conflict settles into a stalemate, officials from the three countries say.

"We keep repeating that Russia mustn't win, but what does that mean? If the war goes on for long enough with this intensity, Ukraine's losses will become unbearable," a senior French official said. "And no one believes they will be able to retrieve Crimea."
Quote:

President Emmanuel Macron of France and Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he needed to start considering peace talks with Moscow when the three leaders met in Paris earlier this month, people familiar with the conversation said.

Over dinner at the lyse Palace, the sumptuous seat of the French presidency, Mr. Macron delivered a more sober message, the people said, telling Mr. Zelensky that even mortal enemies like France and Germany had to make peace after World War II.
Quote:

Gen. Petr Pavel, president-elect of the Czech Republic and a former NATO commander, said at the Munich conference: "We may end up in a situation where liberating some parts of Ukrainian territory may deliver more loss of lives than will be bearable by society…There might be a point when Ukrainians can start thinking about another outcome."
Quote:

"The NATO summit must produce a clear offer to Ukraine, also to give Zelensky a political win that he can present at home as an incentive for negotiations," the British official said. "Russia's wars have a tendency to freeze and then unfreeze, and that is why Ukraine will need more guarantees from us."

While London, Paris and Berlin see the possibility that Kyiv may have to seek talks with Russia after an expected counteroffensive this spring that could help it regain more territory, other Ukraine backers think there should be no negotiations as long as Russian troops remain on Ukrainian soil.

I do think the swamp/WEF folks want this war out of the way (or at least paused) so it's not an issue in Nov next year.

I am sure team Dem-CCP will declare a great victory/validation in any ceasefire and then start the NEXT round of Ukraine-related graft with some sort of $300-500 billion 'rebuilding' bill for the green grifter.

Green energy (CCP solar panels/wind mills) and electric cars for Ukraine to make them the hub of some sort of BS fake industries needing ongoing global subsidies (from the US). I can hear it already.

I have been opposed to our funding of this war and opposed to Zelensky since right after it started.

Kiev will have to give up Crimea and the Donbas. This is all but over despite the Ukrainian and NATO propaganda attempt.

The only people really paying the toll for this war are the lower snd middle class Ukrainians and grunts on both sides. The longer this drags out, the more they lose. It's past time to negotiate an end

Between 2014 after Russia took Crimea and parts of Eastern Ukraine and Jan 2021 (before invasion) the U.S. regularly sent military funding aid of a reported total of $33 billion to help Ukraine get better prepared for the next round by Russia.

And then Russia did make their move thinking they could take out Kiev but miscalculated.

Yes now the funding pace has ratcheted up because went from pre-war preparation to active war but folks should understand this Ukraine conflict has been brewing (and American backing Ukraine) far longer than before Feb. 2022 through multiple administrations (yes, even Trump's)

The war was kicked off when Biden pushed for Nato membership for Ukraine quickly, after the 2014 Maiden Revolution which the US (Biden/Nuland) bragged about pushing and then installing CIA-friendly types throughout the Ukrainian government.

So yes, to an extent you are right, through multiple administrations (Obama-Biden) it had been clear that the US was trying to make Ukraine both a member of nato (quickly in late 2021) and interfered in domestic affairs actively there, and did nothing when Russia annexed Crimea under Obama so he figured this was the window to attack and take out the US-supported Zelensky regime. No, this war wouldn't have happened without Biden's idiotic pushing forward of Nato throughout 2021.

It's been a useful tool for spiking global energy prices/inflation, though, to the WEF.

LOL. Total red herring. Biden can't even get Sweden into NATO. There was zero threat for anything close to a fast track NATO membership for Ukraine. At most it was US support for the MAP process (e.g. Albania, Bosnia, etc.) ... exactly the same US support provided by the Bush administration in 2008 and subsequently rejected by France and Germany.

Sure thing, stud. Interesting you think Biden was lying about nato membership being in Zelensky hands the month before the war.

Nothing will dissuade the left of putins exclusive shocking culpability I know, or alternatively somehow bringing up trump or even bush. Well played for par. Yay war!
