This seems to be significant. Edibles sold OTC at stores in Montgomery County in PA were laced with Fentanyl. This is only going to escalate. I expect vapes will be an issue soon.

I wouldn't do this unless you truly had a trusted source who knew the grower or it was from a legal dispensary. Have heard stories about even flower being dusted with it before.

These gangs and dope dealers…whether it's weed, Adderall, Xanax, cocaine, oxy or heroin…are trying to cheaply cut with a substance that makes the drugs even more addicting than they otherwise would be. So they have the "best". But they're not scientists, they're illiterate deadbeat dropouts who don't give a sh** about anyone but themselves.

I remember as a young kid my mom hammered into my head to never buy anything at the grocery store that was even slightly opened for this reason. She would also wash off the cans of any drink

You could say that about any edible or topical consumer product. Believe it or not, the dispensaries actually have very good testing and QC...especially compared to shadeball gas stations that just a decade ago were selling Spice and K2 and bath salts.

Trying to open any type of packaging from a dispensary is difficult for most adults, let alone children. And it would have to be a rogue grower or pot factory worker that just wanted to kill people. Then again, you could say the same about coca-cola or pringles. But yeah, If I ever got an 1/8th or a bottle of gummies that had a broken seal, I'd return them right away.

Ha my mom was the same. She also bought into the urban legends about Halloween candy being poisoned etc. To this day though...I take the lid off things like peanut butter and milk before buying to make sure fully sealed...probably mostly thanks of her indoctrination.

again, the point is packaging can be easily compromised at any point of the supply chain.

a fine needle can be used to puncture packaging (e.g.) behind a label or through the plastic bottle or clamshell, and just a dollop of clear resin/glue can reseal as normal.

but be real. almost no one examines their packaging at any point. they just grab, go, consume.

I agree, this could happen with almost any product in a grocery store. I hope to God that is something that never catches on....but this country just continues to suck more and more, so all bets are off.

With the shady sex and drug products sold at dirty convenience stores though...I truly do wonder where these things are being processed and if they are made by legitimate companies or just criminal orgs that have set up an LLC. Everything about their packaging just always creams stay the F away to me. If some shadeball enterprise was manufacturing them, it wouldn't shock me to learn that they were dusting these with small amounts in hopes the euphoria would set them apart from the competition.

I think you are right though and that some lone wolf ******* probably compromised these along the way. But what would be the motive of small amounts of fent/heroin/meth, that are more likely just going to take people on a wild ride or hook them in, versus killing them?
