O'Keefe has never been married, and the wedding venue rental was for the Project Veritas Christmas Party.

The COO started all the trumped up charges. He's also the one who went to the board behind James his back and trying to get him fired two weeks. Lots of rumors the COO is actually a plant put in there from some other organization.

My guess is PV goes away because they'll be nothing without him and might have already been milked dry by him, and James may show up for an encore here or there but likely won't have lasting power due to his own internal demons.

Yeah he signed a non compete for a company he founded in his garage. Not likely.
Also non competes aren't enforceable if you're removed from your post typically.
They're (the board) dumb as hell or getting paid under the table to blow up his career. I think it's the latter and if more smoke comes out I bet they get sued over it.
