Seems a pretty simple solution is just put wreaths on headstones with Christians markings.

And if somebody inadvertently puts a wreath on your deceased non Christian headstone, simply take it off and throw it away.

Why all the drama and "oppression"?

I've laid wreaths at Arlington. They do tell you not to put wreaths on non-Christian graves. The families can opt out, remove the wreaths or have them removed. Mikey Weinstein and MRFF are perpetual troublemakers. He HATES Christianity.

The left has been losing their **** over this for a few years now.

Their goal is to ban the practice completely.

Thanks...was wondering about the other symbols on the tombstones.

Just bitter angry hate filled people. Why would anyone want to live that way?

Not trying to justify the reaction, but how would y'all react if your Christian relative's gravestone was decorated for a Muslim holiday? Probably wouldn't DO much about it, but probably wouldn't like it, either. I'm guessing you'd rather them not do it. And probably be pretty ticked if it kept happening.

Oh I agree. And I would not put it past them for the left to place wreaths on non Christian graves just because of the hatred.

Just tired of the drama and hyperbole,

I would not care. Frankly I find it annoying and a little offensive that the party of tolerance and inclusion bristles at the notion of religious celebration. Perhaps instead of assuming everything is an insult or an affront, perhaps think of it as an invitation. None of these things are done out of malice or ill will but out of love and respect for human dignity.

But here we are with the party of tolerance and inclusion being so far up their own asses being offended by anything they perceive to be a sleight that they can't conceive of the concept that the nature of the expression isn't one that has any intent of offense.

Of course, we all know what is really going on is just lazy leftist anti-Christian cliches. It's about as "edgy" and "anti establishment" as the predictable purple hair dye or the lame old man prog-rock cover band those types play in.

How would I even know? I'm not holding a constant vigil at the cemetery to keep up with every little thing that happens at my families' grave sites.

I promise all the non Christians who died don't mind this: they know that the celebration of Jesus birth is legitimate even for non Christians. Unfortunately, they accepted this reality too late…

I had to look up the symbol that looks like an atom. Apparently it's aethiest. I'd be interested to hear the theory behind that one. Big Bang Theory, following the "science", etc?

Got it, no wreath for Chris Rodda's grave.

This is more appropriate

I would not care and actually would appreciate the sentiment. And most normal Muslims, atheists, Jews or whatever would feel the same.

This is virtue signaling.

I don't understand why someone who was an atheist would care what happened with their grave. Or be buried at a national cemetery.

I am a very novice Buddhist - very new. But I wouldn't be offended (not sure how I could lolz) if someone put a wreath on my grave. Give me a break. These people have lost their minds!

When I read the first paragraph of the story I thought it was a tongue in cheek play on how hard this charity worked and how much people liked it even though they were different religions. Then it clicked and I saw it was just a hateful and divisive opinion piece.

What's the problem? They're dead and they're not going to change their religious views no matter what you place on their graves. Like others have said, if you don't care for this act of goodwill & respect for a deceased family member because it's based on a religion that you don't like then take the damn thing off and throw it away. Maybe next year you can arrange for an athiest to pee on their grave or perform some other circle of life natural function.
