Elon is auctioning off a bunch of surplus equipment from Twitter HQ. Fancy a pizza oven? How about one of several kegerators? Meat slicers, ovens, broilers and fridges oh my! This is in addition to projectors, smart boards and state of the art ergonomic office furniture.

If they are selling Yoel's chair I hope they had it sanitized.

One would think an auction of old furniture wouldn't be a high priority this early into a $44 Billion takeover. Maybe it's a sign that Elon is planing to imminently relocate and Twitter will be HQ in Texas by end of 2023.

I think it is more symbolic of a change in the work culture, a new sheriff being in town.

Was Twitter HQ a giant vacation spa masquerading as a place of business as it lost hundreds of millions per year, net, and got by solely on goodwill and stock valuation?

There's a lot less for sale than I would have expected.

Vast majority is chairs and rolling digital boards, then a page of kitchen equipment.

I remember when Napster was liquidated in 2021 and they had so much wild crap up for auction. This is a big disappointment by comparison.

You should've seen the "cubicles" from the Webvan auction back in the dotcom days. It had a sliding door.

I can't wait until he moves Twitter HQ to north Dallas...that move has to be coming. It likely would reduce the risk of being sued by handpicked leftist judges in the SF region alone. But also to get normal but talented people into his management team, great engineers, and a more rewarding media environment.
