It all started when Andy Ngo pointed out some Antifa accounts that were promoting violence against the Twitter TOS to Elon Musk. Musk responds to report all "in this thread." The thread has become a clearing house for leftist Antifa activists who were seeing their accounts suspended.

The next thing you know, Antifa is threatening to firebomb Tesla locations in Portland.

I find this thread fascinating because 1) Andy Ngo had been marginalized by the Antifa left and 2) that many of the violent tweets and ORGANIZING of violence was allowed to continue unabated on Twitter for years.

Jordan Peterson thought the thread was so important that he asked his followers to "follow this thread." IMO this is the most newsworthy thing that has happened on Elon Twitter.

Simple answer: this division isn't like divisions we've (living Americans) experienced before.

This isn't a difference in strategy to achieve the same goal (prosperity, peace, betterment of our children, etc).

I forget who said it, but "the right has become the party of the middle class & the left the party of everyone else." Which means that leftist political power is inversely proportional to the size of the middle class. It's in their interest to shrink the middle class and they're doing just that. Their goals are no longer our goals.

As to how they've been duped into this: women were sold the idea that employment was liberation, the ideal of nuclear family was erased, the government stepped in to backfill the absence of fatherly support, a huge portion of society no longer recognizes the middle class as attainable/desirable, and because of the selection bias in the arts modern entertainment has become a feedback loop of this despair.

Well for one thing, after 2020 we can definitely say Republicans are not the party of law enforcement. They can just go ahead and take that off their platform now unless they're suddenly serious about it. And I don't just mean enforcing the law with regards to regular citizens. Completely agree! Use Give Send Go. It's a Christian fundraising site. We've been using it for my grandson, who is in the NICU for the foreseeable future. It's been great! We've even received emails from them praying over our grandson.
