Supposedly Twitter has lost 90% of its staff (7.5k to 750).

The fear is this app stops working soon.
Or is the real fear that it does not and it sends a powerful message to the rest of Silicon Valley, and even all of corporate America, about true staffing needs?
they had 3 cake walks per day. The 10 am cake walk wasn't well attended because the only people that made it to the office by 10 were the ones actually doing the work. The 1 pm had solid attendance and the 4:00 was wild because the bar was open too.The Dirty Sock said:
Dang I wish I worked at twitter all those years. Must have been a cake walk.

No wonder twitter never made a profit. Frankly, I'm surprised Facebook/Meta ever made money with all of the perks they handed out like Skittles on Halloween.ThunderCougarFalconBird said:they had 3 cake walks per day. Trump decision has not yet been made.
what if it really does turn out that a huge portion of those tech companies are really just slush funds to launder funemplyment checks to useful losers?aggiehawg said:No wonder twitter never made a profit. I guess both could be true but the latter certainly is. The entirety of Big Tech was way over staffed and all of the layoffs confirm that. It was admitted in an article on the Amazon Alexa division layoffs that users only leverage it for 1-2 use cases so why keep dumping so much money into what is a chatchki for your home.Squadron7 said:Supposedly Twitter has lost 90% of its staff (7.5k to 750).

And he's cutting back on perks for the employees who survived the recent layoffs. No more couriered dry cleaning and laundry service, tons of free gourmet meals, car services, etc.Quote:
And now investors are questioning Meta's $10B investment in the Metaverse. Dorkburg is apparently starting to walk that back now.

Why tf has the Trump decision not yet been made? It's either a free speech platform or it isn't.... I suppose this decision will let us know which path Elon is choosing.. . . said:Kathie Griffin, Jorden Peterson & Babylon Bee have been reinstated.

Pro-@elonmusk, sorry. I have more faith in an owner cutting drastically ahead of a recession, and innovating on the fly than in a management team that was trying to buy more time until it could become the CIA's direct interface for domestic political management.

And don't worry, she'll do something dumb and hateful to get tossed. In the meantime, people will be free to give her the middle finger on Twitter.
