The way BLS measures inflation is BS. Not just because it eliminates a lot of the items people cumulatively spend the most on, but because the items they measure are completely random. We used to own a feedstore. Every few months this old black man from BLS would come in and check the price of one product from our store to see if it had changed.....he had no idea why or how this particular item was chosen, but it was a super slow mover (maybe sold 5 a year) and when we bought them, we bought them in batches of like 25. So that's a few year's worth of inventory. The item was a super small dog collar that would barely fit a chihuahua. I said that is a slow moving item, and that they should pick a 50 lb bag of cattle cubes or a bale of hay. Those we high volume items that definitely changed price way more often than a freakin dog collar....Riddle me that.

Just paid $47 for two medium pizzas to be delivered from Dominos.

Inflation doesn't seem to be lessening much.

Not sure how most people afford this.

Doesn't really matter if it goes up. Prices and expenses were already way too high, and more than extreme enough for anyone with a functioning brain that was not excessively well off to know they needed to vote out the Dems.

The midterms proved that for one reason or another not enough cared. So higher costs won't make any difference.

Apparently a little over half our citizens want more of this.

Hell all those voters and the D gods they worship have no clue that supply and demand is an actual thing. They think these high prices are strictly the result of retailers jacking up prices. Amazing actually.
I don't think you know me.

They voted for women's rights to kill babies and so that their males can sexualize little kids. Just like Biden.
I live in Austin. There are depraved people who vote for this *****
The economic pain is the side effect that we all have to suffer.

I think you found the solution. Instead of two teas, we need to start buying two pizzas to save the economy.

Had the same experience last week when I got online to order our normal order of 2 medium pizzas and it was about $15 more than it was over the summer. Holy Cow. My family is feeling the middle class squeeze for sure. FJB

That isn't possible in Dallas. One medium is usually around $12-15 for pickup.

They hammer your ass on delivery. That business must have dropped off dramatically with prices like this.

Of course now they are running a one week 50% off sale right now that we just missed.

2 topping mediums are $6.99 in Houston…now that's up almost 20% since inflation hit but you gotta use the deal on the website or they'll kill you on prices

It doesn't matter. The poorer the populace gets, the more they'll be convinced white supremacy is keeping them down.

The right is in political checkmate. It could've been easily stopped 50 years ago. It might have been stopped 20 years ago. It's over now. You're never going to get conservative policy enacted politically at this point

KEY POINTS
  • Of the index's three components, current sales conditions fell 6 points to 39, and sales expectations in the next six months dropped 4 points to 31. Buyer traffic fell 5 points to 20.
  • The drop in November is the eleventh straight monthly decline and the lowest level since June 2012, with the exception of a brief drop at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I don't think it's that people don't care about their pocketbooks being hit. It's that they're too stupid to see whose fault it is. They believe the BS that is fed to them and think it's a result of Putin, lingering effects of covid and the huge mess that Trump supposedly left.

I was worried about this heading into the elections. I kept hearing that it would be a huge red wave because we're all sick of the cost of goods rising. But I was skeptical because I know how stupid people on the left are and I know they'll believe whatever the media tells them.

That's counting delivery and tip, suppose. it seems about double what would expect. A compromise often
engage in is to go drive to get it. The cost also varies per brand. That still seems high for two mediums. But no question it has gone up. A burger meal now breaks the $ 10 limit easily when it used to come just under it if that is all you got.
