Now that October is behind us, which October "surprise" was a "hit" which surprise was a "flop"

I cannot think of any that were really devastating. Maybe someone could enlighten me.

Fetterman's debate performance seemed pretty devastating, not sure it qualifies as a surprise though.

Herschel Walker allegations - flop

I'd say the Gloria Allred client who said she was with Walker in 1993 in Dallas when was on the roster and playing for the Cowboy was the biggest flop.

Walker was traded to the Vikings in 1989 and then to Philly in 1992. So in 1993, he was not in Dallas, nor playing for the Cowboys and she was not living with him.

That story was a one day wonder and then memory-holed.

Runner-up, the Jan 6th Committee going out with a whimper and not a bang.

In terms of hits, Kari Lake just demolished Katie Hobbs, repeatedly and then an extra bonus, Liz Cheney.

Oz just had to remain standing and speak coherently to look great next to Fetterman. A great October surprise that Fetterman's campaign played on him, not in his favor.

They still have a few more days to drop something.

True -- I would count Biden wanting to legalize pot nationally as perhaps a surprise obvious attempt to buy votes.

Should up the ante --- all right, end the Drug War and all the underground profits we know the Beltway crowd is making off the drug and border exchanges. That's why they don't fix it. When they refuse to do that, it might turn off the just `bought' voters.

the country is so screwed up that any "surprise" would not have worked and the Democrats are about to pay the price.

However, the November "surprise" will be if the Democrats remain in power and we all know what that "surprise" will be.

I don't think that is the "surprise" the Dims wanted, actually it is probably pulling resources from other planned activities to have to keep the "approved narrative" of that under control and in the MSM feed for the next couple of days!
