Self Proclaimed Scranton Puerto Rican Joe will start complaining about leg room on airplanes by accident and they will redirect him to the earnings reports.

Making money during a recession and people complaining about prices. Good for them and good for those of us who have stock in them.

And people say recessions are bad.

Point, but profit margins only matter with Big Tech. Revenue matters for Big Fossil.

So, record revenue for O&G and it would still be a down year for a Tech company?

Anyone who has any sliver of knowledge knows it has been a hard road from a ton of workers that last 2.5 years to cut costs, simplify processes to get oil companies profitable again. Everyone should be congratulating these workers. Governments should be learning from these oil companies about how to be more effective and efficient. It's a great story of hard working, passionate, collaborative workers. Yet Democrats unthinkably will demonize these people. Anyone that voted Democrat for any level of public service should feel ashamed.

Yet Dims will pass even more regulations that will create more barriers to entry into the industry thus limiting competition.

Not a poke at you. Just illustrating how net profits can be just a number considering the volume of product Exxon sells.

I'm only surprised you're surprised. Exxon is part of the political establishment. They support establishment candidates because those candidates put up barriers to competition which protects Exxon's position at the top. It's Fascism, plain and simple.

Note this is people that work for the company. We have a PAC that shows to which candidates the people are giving vs the PAC (and the PAC is usually red).

Corporate Capitalism.

I'd rater see that Profit go to all the small and midsize independents that really make things happen but given they cant get capital due ESG restrictions. It will go to corporate libtards who go to the left/gov to get their bread buttered rather than earning in the market place.

Remember there are many variants of Capitalism. This version is not so good.
