In my Catholic education as an adult, I have been taught to love my Jewish roots. With Judaism, there is no Christianity. Our most cherished sacrament, Holy Communion, is based on the Last Supper and it's Passover tradition. There is nothing secret about any of this, it is well known. Other Christian faiths have a similar ritual, all with the same origins. It seems silly to me to suggest that Christians would purposefully undercut their own doctrine by incorporating antisemitism into their dogma. Any 'Christian' church teaching antisemitism isn't really a Christian church IMO.
Because of this, anytime I hear a charge of antisemitism, at least in this country, I automatically assume it is BS and part of a leftist divisiveness campaign as a default position. I have to be convinced away from that position.
