She's the real candidate, not her husband.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

That doesn't work in the well of the Senate.

She would have no authority to be there not to speak nor vote.

He would have to resign (or die) and the governor appoint her to take his seat.

Maybe she's hoping he dies and she takes over like that Indiana(?) Senator did.

He'll resign "for health reasons" and the Democrat governor will appoint her to replace him.

She is a lot better looking than I thought she would be, and he is basically a knuckle dragging Neanderthal.

It doesn't matter if the "slow" Fettermine isn't even functional enough to wipe his own ass. All he has to do is push that yes or no button as told. A dog could pull that off.

If you think I am a liberal, you are incorrect. Assume sarcasm on my part. Sorry if something I post has already been posted. Just the way it is!!

This.

I am convinced this is the plan. Let him serve a year or two and retire him.

Kind of like the DNC plan for Joe Biden.
We may not always get what we want. We may not always get what we need. Just so we don't get what we deserve.

Hopefully the Pennsylvanian's see it, and say "Nope, one at the very top in D.C. is one too many" "don't need one running this state"

This is why the PA governor's race is critical for the R candidate to win... believe the governor would appoint the replacement senator (but maybe there's a special election depending on how many years are left in the senator's term).

PA is one of 37 gubernatorial appointment states for Senatorial vacancies.

Nothing that matters happens in the well of the Senate other than needing Frankenstein to walk down and hit a "Yea or Nay" button. Everything that matters happens behind closed doors and Jr Senators aren't even invited to the backroom.

If this was the plan, why wouldn't she just run instead of him..?

This is so sad and so amazing at the same time. I cannot believe I am watching that happen in real life. He literally speaks gibberish and they cheer. It's literally like a scene out of the movie Idiocracy. Couple this level of collective psychosis with a legitimate threat of nuclear conflict? Hard to feel overly optimistic right now.

Wait for it.

Fetterman beats Oz and is sworn in as Senator. Soon thereafter, he suffers a "new" stroke complication and he steps down, receives a large honorarium from Dem donors, and Shapiro, who easily beat Mastriano in the PA governor's race, appoints a Dem replacement who is likely already anointed.
