I haven't trusted the medical field for a very long time. One of the first questions you need to ask a doctor is, where do you fall on the political spectrum.

Holy crap, that's absolute garbage!

If this keeps up in about a decade and a half no American doctor can be trusted; you would have to look overseas.

Considering their original considerable progress in it, maybe Muslim doctors will eventually be more reliable. Certainly overseas Asian ones probably.

Good new is if you turn away from medicine, there's plenty of western magic to turn to as well!

Naturopathy and Chiropractic come to mind immediately.

Looks like the Dem Left has turned against medicine if anyone has.

Incidentally, chiropractics does work somewhat. It can absolutely help.

Medical Care is all the fault of "Big, Bad, Whitey". Might as well quit overprescribing meds while these 'doctors' are at, but those kick-backs and free lunches from the Pharmaceutical companies would dry up

There was a great deal of medical school/teaching hospital affirmative action baked into Obamacare. Most people just ignored it but I would be very careful about choosing a doctor these days.

If its that important to try to do that you could tell by how certain topics go if they come up. Doesn't even have to be that direct. The MLB actions were one case where it accidentally arose talking about the Rangers.

We were given a list of pediatricians a couple days after our daughter was born and I immediately nixed everyone with a foreign name or who looked like they could even possibly be a lib. Wife and I agreed to go with the guy with a normal Euro/American name who looked like he could have been a milk man in the 1950's. On the first visit, I vetted him on masks and vaccine mandates and liked his answers and appreciated his interpersonal skills, which many foreigners seem to be severely lacking, based on my experiences. He's been great and it's nice to have a doctor who is able to form a real connection with his patients. He's a dying breed though. The future is Chinese/Indian/African I think. You will just be a number to them. Fun.

Believe that is unfair. It is more concern if they are Left bent and "follow Sciency" than if they are foreign named/origin. Some really good ones family has had are exactly that.

I've been in practice 25 years and have only been asked that once. Of course, it was right before the 2016 election. A very annoying patient of mine started talking about politics, and she asked me who I was going to vote for. She told me that, if I answered "incorrectly", she would leave my practice and see another doctor.
Ordinarily, I would probably say that was none of her business and move along. Just because of how she asked the question, I considered it a "win-win proposition". I could be honest, and lose an annoying patient in one fell swoop. I answered her question "incorrectly", according to her politics. She did not follow through on her threat, and she knows that politics are "off topic" whenever she comes to my office (which is frequent).

My office is full every day. If someone does not want to see me because of where I fall on a political spectrum, they can just see someone else. This is still America, at least for the time being.

As a now former Minnesota resident, it sickens me that my tax dollars went to support this.

The state is being completely ruined by the Woke cult. The formerly conservative West Metro (Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Maple Grove, Edina, Wayzata) is full of white college educated women with "In This House We believe...." and "Black Lives Matter" signs. It's truly maddening.

This is not mainstream, everyday doctors practicing medicine. Or the majority of med students.

Leftists want you to think they are the inevitable outcome. And they are not.

But your profession is being populated by woke cultists more and more. My wife is an Nurse (BSN) and sees it all around her. It's a very lonely place for her at times.

The AMA, AAP, and others are completely sold out to the political left and are advocates in a culture war against my family and my faith's values.

I think a nuanced answer is acceptable, with more and more doctors admitting there are/were issues with COVID vaccines.

We have to allow people (both patients and providers and even people in government) to be retrospective on this and change positions ..... elsewise, what is the point of the debate and discussion around it? It is OK to turn an adversary into a co-belligerent. Read Sun Tzu.

Well put. Not only that, a doctor suggesting a patient who was immunodeficient or aged or with comorbidities get a vaccine is not the same as a doctor stating that everyone down to age 6 or whatever the CDC recommendation states.

i have read Sun Tzu multiple times. i understand your point however no one is or has moved on these positions. if you were for the jab for the most part you still are if you weren't you never were. lines have been drawn in the sand and ther is not many places with more defined lines at this point than the medical establishment. they lost all respect in my opinion based on the covid 19 fiasco. so if a doctor is or was for the jab he or she is a moron plain and simple. they absolutely lack critical thinking skills and i don't want someone who lacks critical thinking skills as my doctor

Not so fast with the criticism of The University of Minnesota Medical school. There Surgical Department has had the #1 fellowship in scalping for over a decade!!! So you can see they are a very strong school academically speaking.

Agree, but if my doctor didn't see through the bull by about day 11, I don't trust their discernment and don't want them "helping" me medically. Not going to shun them socially, just won't put my life in their hands.

My concern with the medical community is that the perceived monetary reward incentive has created a class of doctors that are ONLY in it for the money. They have worked their way through med school without really grasping the science of medicine. Instead they look around at what their peers donor what big pharma tells them to do and just follows the lead. That is irrespective of party affiliation.
