Bank of America unceremoniously shut down my account about a year ago with no advance notice and no justification at all. Closed my account and were going to snail mail me a check for the balance. The only way I found out was that I went to use an ATM and the transaction was declined. On a Friday afternoon no less.

Best part was that they were completely within their rights to do it, as the terms and conditions of the account specifically says they can close accounts at any time for any reason, or no reason at all.

I t happens. I still have no idea why they did it.

BlackRock is neck deep in ownership of Chinese VIEs, bought a bunch of **** Evergrande debt at the behest of the CCP, and is the only foreign company that is allowed to sell investment products in China.

Honestly surprised so many people on the politics board bank with BoA, Chase, Wells, etc. Bank with a local bank that shares your values and supports your community. I promise you that's worth 1000x more than a little more sophisticated mobile app or convenient ATM location

Switched from BOA early 2000's and it was painless. Online mobile phone deposits and most credit unions have agreements to allow other credit union customers use their ATM's for free. Finding an ATM has not been an issue and with mobile banking, it's rare I need one. Big fan of smaller community banks and credit unions. BOA go away!

Your community bank is owned by one of the big ones. Sorry but we are off the ledge of having competition in our banking system. It is one big cabal like our food and media as well.

I started two credit union accounts a while back getting ahead of this. We have BOA and Chase also, both of whom have outed themselves yet again as stooges of ESG and need to be sued by enough shareholders to correct them back to publicly traded companies having a fiduciary responsibility to maximizing shareholder value..
