Never, ever vote for a Democrat.

Never heard of her. But since I'm not a Marxist and the Democratic Party has been taken over by Marxists, I will never under any circumstance vote for a democrat Marxist.

I guess people will vote for her on this issue alone as they get high while everything else she touches turns to crap for she is your typical Democrat.

And I am not going to vote for someone that actually believes that Trump colluded with the Russians.

This is from her webpage in the "Sid Sins".

So Ag Commissioners get to decide if weed is legal in Texas? Interesting.

Most Democrats still believe in the Collusion Delusion.

That article says nothing about how you stop Chinese from owning land in this country. In fact, it basically says it is impossible to prevent.

the difference is that ownership of land has to be registered with the state. if the state will not register the change in spite of the supposed sale, you do not own the land. most states do not give a crap, but they can enforce it if they chose to.,

and there is no law on regards to Iran and nuclear weapons.
those are deals made by democrats to funnel monies to terrorist states so they can be used against the US.

I will go to the trouble to cut and paste part of the clickbait article since you are such a busy person....

Quote:

Efforts to stop foreign land purchases could come with several challenges.

Joe Maxwell, president of the progressive advocacy group Family Farm Action, told Politico that foreign investors could likely still set up limited liability companies (LLCs) in the U.S. and designate an American owner to circumvent reporting requirements while still owning the U.S. agricultural land through their corporate structure. Sifting through layered corporate structures could prove time-consuming and labor-intensive for regulatory agencies.

"It's a massive undertaking to verify who really owns [the land]," Maxwell told Politico. "These foreign interests are pretty smart. They use different business structures to further conceal it."

Again, how can the state tell someone they cannot own a piece of land?

That's an unfair comparison wherever one stands on this subject. International law is an illusion. If a great power willing to use force isn't in the game , it doesn't exist. Its a polite fiction.

Internal law of states is supposed to be different. So is Federal ones. But these days....

there is nothing that says they cannot.

until one does and someone challenges it and a verdict is made one way or the other (or the feds pass a law), states conceptually have the right to do so.

as for how, that is up to the individual states to set limits and definitions and require proof before ownership is transferred.

I am sorry, sir. Your eyes are not round enough. Uncle Sam says you cannot own this land.

not sure why you are getting so ****ing pissy about it.

states and the feds can put all sorts of limits on foreigners - higher college fees, driver's licenses, ability to get a gun, etc.

I am getting pissy because "pass a law" didn't really answer my question

Again, when has anyone ever had to ask permission from the state to buy land? The things you listed, with the exception of firearms, are all licenses, fees, and permits.

I can answer your question..... the answer is - YOU CANNOT DO IT.

Multiple layers of LPs, LLCs, and money will prevent it. But it sounds good, so some folks will cling to it.

That is the answer I expected. I was hoping it would come from one of the other contributors in this thread. Reality is the state and county offices don't really care who owns the land as long as the taxes continue to get paid.

And in this case, all she'd be able to do is use her bully pulpit to advocate for it. She'd have no power to change it.

I'm convinced as long as Dan Patrick is Lt Gov, it will never happen.
