And I am not going to vote for someone that actually believes that Trump colluded with the Russians.

And also some that are functionally Democrats. Some played out in August.Rapier108 said:Most Democrats still believe in the Collusion Delusion.APHIS AG said:I guess people will vote for her on this issue alone as they get high while everything else she touches turns to crap for she is your typical Democrat.BigRobSA said:one issue voters are tardshoosier-daddy said:

DO
THAT?
C@LAg said:the difference is that ownership of land has to be registered with the state. if the state will not register the change in spite of the supposed sale, you do not own the land. most states do not give a crap, but they can enforce it if they chose to.,Burdizzo said:C@LAg said:you pass a law and enforce it.Burdizzo said:hoosier-daddy said:

Sort of like how we keep Iran from making nuclear weapons then. Sounds effective
and there is no law on regards to Iran and nuclear weapons.
those are deals made by democrats to funnel monies to terrorist states so they can be used against the US.
Quote:
Efforts to stop foreign land purchases could come with several challenges.
Joe Maxwell, president of the progressive advocacy group Family Farm Action, told Politico that foreign investors could likely still set up limited liability companies (LLCs) in the U.S. and designate an American owner to circumvent reporting requirements while still owning the U.S. agricultural land through their corporate structure. Sifting through layered corporate structures could prove time-consuming and labor-intensive for regulatory agencies.
"It's a massive undertaking to verify who really owns [the land]," Maxwell told Politico. "These foreign interests are pretty smart. They use different business structures to further conceal it."
That's an unfair comparison wherever one stands on this subject. International law is an illusion. If a great power willing to use force isn't in the game , it doesn't exist. Its a polite fiction.Burdizzo said:C@LAg said:you pass a law and enforce it.Burdizzo said:hoosier-daddy said:

Again, how can the state tell someone they cannot own a piece of land?
until one does and someone challenges it and a verdict is made one way or the other (or the feds pass a law), states conceptually have the right to do so.
as for how, that is up to the individual states to set limits and definitions and require proof before ownership is transferred.

I am sorry, sir. Your eyes are not round enough. Uncle Sam says you cannot own this land.
states and the feds can put all sorts of limits on foreigners - higher college fees, driver's licenses, ability to get a gun, etc.

I can answer your question..... the answer is - YOU CANNOT DO IT.
Multiple layers of LPs, LLCs, and money will prevent it. But it sounds good, so some folks will cling to it.
And in this case, all she'd be able to do is use her bully pulpit to advocate for it. She'd have no power to change it.BigRobSA said:gordo6 said:

I agree, as should all drugs, but if it comes with other fiscally liberal bull****, no thanks.
