Window on the Orwellian Dystopia of America

Quote:

The key to Rozado's research is doing a word or phrase search to assess frequency of use of phrases and word images and words that are the linguaindicative of an ideological mindset. In this case of the ruling class, this is oligarchy. The place to look for ruling class attitudes and buzzwords along with intellectual posturing is the academic and public media. When a habit and language pattern is identified, the next obvious thing is to evaluate the impact on the culture and politics of a society. How the word habits and manners create ripples and echoes of increasing impact on public discourse and attitudes of the populace, and also impact the political and cultural environment.
And no surprise here.....

Quote:

Along the way Rozado documents and measures the explosion of totalitarian intellectual activity and the effects that have happened since the presidency of Obama. The year 2010 was the initial year of an exponential increase in the appearance of Marxist rhetorical and political propaganda explosion as graphically displayed a number of times in his paper.
Rozado shows how the academic and media output of certain ideologically loaded words not only reflects an ideological wave in society, it also measures the increases in the size of that wave because of the echo and ripple effect, but mostly because of the widespread push of Marxist ideological themes.
The import of this paper and the methods used by Rozado are inestimable. This paper blew me away. However, since Rozado is not a social or political scientist, his conclusory remarks don't do his research justice. He has revealed what amounts to the guts of the New Orwellian World, complete with a memory hole, a rejection of tradition and history, and of course, a Ministry of Truth actuated by the thought police and the totalitarian left.
Very interesting read....

The vast majority of Americans are completely oblivious to how they're being led around by their nostrils. Some of them seem to like it.

See:wbt's indictment thread. Completely detached from reality due to mental weakness from lapping up propaganda.

Very interesting article.

This:

He tracks the number of times certain phrases and words appear in 175 million journal abstracts and 50 million public media articles over the last five decades, to display the explosion of the use of words associated with racial bias and prejudice, racialist Marxist advocacy yak yak that poses as serious research and argument for the progressive movement.

That part in particularly neatly confirms the impression that the 44 admin was a bad actor, and this would prove especially apparent in the second term. When you consider you now have in power again the same administration's staff and VP (serving in a somewhat usurper puppet role) the accelerated decline viisble in 2016 makes more sense. Its part of what added such impetus to the run of the `Outsiders' of which Trump and Cruz were in the final race.

But its far from clear the above is reversible or fixable in any way and instead makes the divorce direction seem still ever more the route.

I don't think it can be fixed. There are too many wanting to be led around and treated like sheep.

It can be fixed though, if you transform the Republican Party from the go-alongs they are now. The reason the Left has gained so much is they are not opposed.

Check this out from the Biden tweet thread. The `RINO' Republicans are more specifically a group that benefit from letting the American Republic fade in favor of a profiteering Empire.

Change the Republicans, to more truly pro Republic, strict constructionist, etc, and you change about half the issue, and you have a whole new ballgame.

I suppose my view, having seen it over the years........Republicans campaign for office as solid conservatives, naively believing they will control spending, enact conservative principles, reign in the size of government, strengthen the military etc.

Once they get to DC, the power of the money, the power of lobbyists is so strong that the well intentioned R gets up there and immediately gets sucked in to the machine.

My congressman is Gonzalez who replaced Hurd. When he (Hurd) campaigned for office, I was a part of a small breakfast meeting to get to know him. He sounded like Ronald Reagan, solid conservative. All the right platitudes were stated. As soon as he gets up there, he is "swamped", he and Beto become buddies, he becomes moderate. He would say the 23rd district of Texas is the most swing district, and he did. Now Gonzalez is very much IMO like Hurd, part of the machine.

Hurd said he has to listen to both sides. He forgot what got him elected, that is the power of DC and organizations like the Chamber of Commerce. Oh, he suffered from TDS because of the influence of being inside the beltway.

So I admire your optimism, but me personally a Reagan Conservative, I think it is irretrievably broken.

And broken because of the power of the media and the Orwellian dystopia they have created by using their influence over the uninformed. There is Tshirt with the saying "1984 was not supposed to be an instruction manual".

Rush Limbaugh, man I miss him, started pointing out with his montages, the media (on whatever controversy of the day) all saying the same thing over and over. It was a running joke to see everyone in the media 20+ years ago doing this.

EDIT to add: Rush's first montage was when Dick Cheney was selected to be 43's running mate and the montage was about the word "Gravitas". Funny then, not so much anymore.

Spot on about Will Hurd. My ex congressman, too. Got totally swamped and should have stayed in the car ride with Beto and not come back. The Republicans need an enema badly to flush out all the RINOs and make way for REAL conservatives. They are out there but the obstacles are many.

Hard times are on the horizon. Plenty of signs. MAGA and LGB.

We also need to do an enema for DC bureaucrats and all bureaucrats at the Federal level. They are a huge part of the problem.

One man is tough enough to maybe change it. That is the root cause of TDS. Otherwise, it's over.

Agreed. The alphabet agencies need a major pruning at the top levels. One of the reasons they are trying to convict Trump of anything, to preclude him from coming back to do them harm. Cobra/mongoose deal. The swamp is wide and deep and still needs to be drained.
