One of my bigger frustrations is when people refuse to just say, "no, that is wrong." Happens all the time around here. Liberals just act like transing kids is no big deal and pedophilia is a super rare one-off no matter how many times it pops up. I am happy to say I agree with Bill Maher on this topic. I am happy to say I disagree with him on several other topics.

He is a raging liberal. And he is correct that Hollywood is off the rails. And he said it in a super funny way.

Bill Maher is a living proof to how far left Liberals have moved. 20 years ago that guy was by far one of the most left figures in the mainstream, both politically and culturally. Now the dude is almost considered center/slight right.

Bill occasionally goes after the most ridiculous liberal nonsense that means little in the grand scheme of things, to distract you from the destructiveness of the rest of his political ideology.

He's making fun of folks who are rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, hoping you'll forget that he owns millions in White Star Line stock, thinks Edward Smith is a brilliant Captain, and fully supports a speed run through an iceberg field at night.

Those people who say we need more lifeboats, and those silly people in the lookout tower yelling about icebergs?

Will continue to say that I'm glad he's somewhat consistently pointing out the negatives of his own side. His audience is almost all left wing so the more they hear this from one of their "intellectual superiors" the better.

I will take any chipping away at their insanity from the inside. The left has us on the ropes culturally because they destroyed us from within. Let Maher be a relative voice of reason on the inside of their walls and go to work.

Exactly. I really don't like his show, partly because of the reasons stated boy others above. The biggest reason though, is that even when he's saying something I 100% agree with, the need for the audience to breathlessly applaud everything he says is such a hindrance to his act. Compared to listening to him on a podcast where he can do the bit with maximum comedic effect in regards to the timing.

It kind of reminds me of going back and watching sitcoms with laugh tracks after seeing the Office for the first time. The laugh track is just so distracting now.

But a lot of Texags really does personify the "no true Scotsman" idea with anyone left of themselves.

Yeah I have no issue with this. We need two sides of everything. He is at least logical and reasonable. Do I agree with his ideals, no but I can respect that.

As long as we can have a healthy debate, shake hands and agree to respect each other that's a big deal to me. Regardless if we come to the same conclusion. We've lost that unfortunately.

Almost every one of his monologues at the end of his show this year has been lib bashing.

He's more Libertarian than lib.

Bill Maher is one of the few nasty libs who is being woke up by how effed up his party is.. it's night and day vs when Trump was in office.. now whether it's for ratings and clicks and viewers or not, I don't know. But he seems genuine in his clowning of what is happening now.

I actually know some liberals who have defected because the left has gone so insane. Mostly my friends I grew up with in the San Francisco area. They went from hating Trump to liking him by the end of his term. I think there's a subset of liberals who are fed up with it. Tim Pool and Jimmy Dore kind of fit this mold as well.
