I suspect some of this is calculated to comfort and acclimate hard core Trump supporters.

Dude, he's further right than Trump and his actions have proven it. He is actually fighting the cultural war and has been very effective.

Playing baseball at Yale doesn't mean he's a Bush RINO. Pretty sure he came up with a humble upbringing as well. His mother was a nurse and his father installed Nielsen TV Ratings boxes. Now unless his father was a CIA spook installing spy hardware for big brother, that sounds pretty blue collared to me...complete opposite of a Bush upbringing.

See how people act, not what they say. He's showing as an executive leader of a major state that he leads with courage.

To me, he comes off as a slight dork which actually is a better trait that being Mr smooth (obama)

Thank you! Please see my previous posts about him being a Manchurian candidate. I'm more convinced after the Mira Lago raid because anyone Center to center right is now saying how DeSantis is the only one who cam win. They say Trump is done...newsflash, Trump is just getting warmed up! I'll sit back and evaluate DeSantis when Trump serves his second term with General Flynn as his VP...

I'd prefer into the Potomac.
