Not only will there not be a blood bath, but now its looking like we're going to lose seats. How in the **** did Republicans **** this up? One more term of Democrat control will kill this county entirely but it looks like that's now a possibility.

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

That's not what the article says. The article says the GOP will still win the house but by a lesser margin. There are something like 30 toss-up seats. The GOP advantage could be anywhere from 2 to 30.

All going to depend on voter turnout, voter passion, and you can bet the media is just going to be pumping sunshine and daisies with the Biden administration.

It's indicative of how lost we are as a country. And it will only get worse. I weep for my little girl as she will never experience close to the type of awesome childhood and upbringing many of us were lucky enough to live in the 80's and 90's. I hope we can somehow eventually end up in a rural area comprised mostly of good like minded people, where liberals are shunned.

People are only going to get more stupid, brainwashed and easily manipulated. They (the enemy of God, America and everything good and decent) played the long game and won. I used to think this country would be unrecognizable over the next 1-2 decades, but now I'm wondering if it might be closer to 5 years?

Polls also showed no chance of Trump in 2016. No chance of Brexit. No chance of Trump 2020 (legitimate or not he was very close to winning again despite terrible polls.) looking at how the anti trump candidate faired in their primaries I have to think the polls have it wrong again. People are not happy.

If the election were held today it wouldn't be a bloodbath, based on pollsters predictions.

Pollsters are usually wrong

The election isn't today

They're going to scare the crap out of pro-choice advocates that "women's health care" is at stake to get CM to the polls to pull the straight ticket "D" lever.

We need a new party. I honestly don't know if the Republican leadership wants to be back in power.

If you have the power to steal an election but for some long term strategy decide not to do so, you might still want to decrease the margin of victory.

Why?

So when you do decide to steal the next election the results don't look as shocking.

But is the senate truly out of reach if Oz and Herschel lose?

A lot of us who want a red wave have zero confidence in the backbone, integrity or commitment to taking back this country in today's republicans. Hunter, Fauci, et al ere going to skate and a bunch of Republicans are going to be tweeting and talking to Laura Ingraham about how they're about to bring the fire and brimstone when they're nothing but swamp creatures too.

Yes. Look at the races in play, you'd have to flip 2 of AZ, NH, and NV. Flipping even one of those is very tricky

The Republican leadership in the senate is terrible at coordinated and unified messaging and a they're so ambivalent about risking support for Trump favored candidates that they'll help endure electoral failure, and fulfill their prophesy by doing so.

I don't see a whole lot wrong with what GOP is doing, maybe some flawed candidates in the Senate, but this is social media, msm, etc just beating the drum about how bad the GOP is, how they want to arrest women for miscarrying, etc. Oh, and total indoctrination of 18-25 year old HS and college students.

The electorate is too dumb and too gullible to know how bad the DNC is for their pocketbook and their families safety.

What should be a red tsunami will be a red splash. Republicans will take the house, but imo dems will keep control of the senate (probably will increase their seat count). I think a mixture of bad candidates, lack of cohesive message by Rep leaders, and RvW is to blame.

Wish Trump would use his PAC money to help them more. Because McConnell is sitting there and he could end up quietly giving them financial support and if they go onto win, they will be more beholden to follow his lead.

Republicans have no problems winning when we run normal, conservative businessmen like Youngkin and DeSantis.

So what do we do?

We run Oz, Herschel and Kari Lake.

I just don't ****ing get it...

This.

The US was the last best hope for capitalism/conservatism. It died, in my opinion, when we re-elected Obama. The future bankruptcy, financially, was set in stone at that point. It's unavoidablejust has to take the decades it will take to reach that point. I also believe, like Argentina, Greece, and the USSR, our bankruptcy will not happen for another 60-70 years, which is about what it took in those places when communism/socialism took over.

The difference here, though, is that we have guns to shoot back and will fight. We will make Ukraine-Russia look like patty-cake when the feds come marching to Texas to get guns.

Make no mistake about it, Texas and the Deep South, along with the Mountain West, are the last bastions of true America.

It is inevitable that a strong-armed absolutist will seize power over this country at some point in the near future.

We have the New York Times openly calling for the shredding of the Constitution (at a minimum not being bound by it). We have the weaponization of the full force of the bureaucratic state and federal law enforcement on the citizenry. And we have the full scale cooperation between big-tech overlords and the regime to suppress truth, dissent, or 'offensive' information.

This nation is doomed. Only a massive red wave of mega-tsunami like proportions that gives the GOP wide majority in the House and Senate with NEW populist-right reps and Senators can put a stop to this, and even then, we would need a 2024 victory in Senate, House, and Presidency too. Does anyone really think the Democrat cheating/vote harvesting infrastructure will magically disappear and let the true majority gain power? What do you think these suppression polls are all about anyways?

I will do my duty, and vote in their damn system, but I have little to zero confidence in it. I still see the collapse of this nation, at least as a Constitutional Republic and as we know it, coming. And it will take a strongman of Christian moral resolve to rebuild a functional society in what was once the United States.

Democracy sucks. Republics work. But only if the administrative state is constrained to minimalist power.
