The worst police killing ever caught on video in modern history. White cop, no jail, daddy in force helped him, custom "youre f'd" dust cover on AR, and retired full benefits. No riots, no huge settlements, no media coverage. Why?

We all know why...but why can't libs and BLM admit it? Officer Phil Brailsford would be serving life sentence if this was a black kid named Donye Shaver instead of white kid Daniel Shaver.

Straight up executed. I've seen the video several times over the past couple of years and honestly Shaver's best chance of surviving that night, would have been to be in a different city. Terrible.

Don't forget the cop had been on administrative leave the year before for investigation of an incident involving excessive force during the arrest of the unarmed teenagers.

Yep, this story has it all. White privilege with daddy pulling strings, custom dust cover on police issued toy, with a deadly game of Simon Says in front of 4 cops "threatened" by crying kid. They could have arrested him many times, but they wanted his hand near waist, to light him up. "Crawl on your knees" m fer! Then he reaches for his sagging gym shorts, boom!

Brutal truth is some police officers are psychopaths that get protected by police administrations that can not tolerate any criticism of how their departments are run.

Most police are good hard working officers, however, there are some totally insane officers who escape justice.

First I recall ever hearing about this or at least seeing the video. How anybody could say that cop should not be rotting in jail for the rest of his life is beyond me. Despicable human being.

Good cops need to lead the charge in removing the bad cops from their ranks. Until then, it's hard to get worked up over good cops getting a spoiled reputation because of a few bad cops.

Most of them would love to be rid of officers that make them look terrible, but I depends on the state laws and union labor contracts and how the union decides to react.

By far the worst police shooting I have ever seen. Truly hard to imagine the reaction if this were a black man...even if he was a hardened criminal who robbed poor pregnant women at gunpoint like George Floyd.

I can't watch that video again, I've seen it one too many times. The poor kid was so ****ing scared and the officer was a madman

If libs and BLM rioters had principles on police brutality they would have been in the streets. Same with national media on their coverage. The big problem is that recognizing Daniel Shaver, or the new video from yesterday, undermines the dem narrative on "systematic racism, which is an essential dem voter turnout tool....right up there with "orange man bad".

There is a huge difference between lack of protest from the left and activity supporting the police involved in brutality from the right.

The left and the right need to step up against police brutality in all cases but at least the left isn't defending it in some.

Daniel was doing shots in the hotel room, and had a BAC of 0.29 during this video

He's a pest control worker and showed off his work pellet rifle to his friends in the hotel room.

One of the people in the room was spotted by other hotel guests from the pool area pointing a "rifle" out the window..

6 Cops were called up and the rest is history... they discussed how to get the rifle and owner out of the room without anyone getting hurt.

Note: the officer yelling commands is not the officer who shot Daniel - 2 different guys.

Yup. That cop should absolutely be rotting in prison. That was a flat out execution.

Don't forget about the non-stop media coverage that occurred after Tony Timpa's death in Dallas. Not sure you can find closer parallels to George, other than the victim's skin color of course...

Your claims are simply incorrect. I agree this is the worst police shooting that I have seen. Cops protected cops here. I think you are retroactively injecting race into the story to make some type of argument. I'm guessing you only learned of this shooting in the last year or so.

No media coverage? This did get media coverage (see below), especially once the bodycam was released. The problem was the bodycam video was released one year after the shooting in December 2017 after the jury already acquired Brailsford.

The initial unsealed video omits the shooting. I wonder why.

Are you seriously mad that Black Lives Matter did not protest this shooting in January 2016? Where are you posts from 6 years ago about it? You are trying to say that the absence of riots means "BLM liberals" are fine with this killing? The footage was hidden for a year. There weren't members of the public filming in broad daylight.

The family settled for $1.5 million and I believe his widow's lawsuit seeking $75 million is still pending. Wrong there too.

$1.5M is not a huge settlement. Floyd's gofundme surpassed $13M and his settlement was north it $25M.
