EXCLUSIVE: The FBI seized boxes containing records covered by attorney-client privilege and potentially executive privilege during its raid of former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News, adding that the Justice Department opposed Trump lawyers' request for the appointment of an independent, special master to review the records.

Sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News Saturday that the former president's team was informed that boxes labeled A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, A-33, and a set of documentsall seen on the final page of the FBI's property receipt contained information covered by attorney-client privilege.

The FBI seized classified records from Trump's Palm Beach home during its unprecedented Monday morning raid, including some marked as top secret. But the former president is disputing the classification, saying the records have been declassified.

The warrant and property receipt from the FBI's Monday search were formally unsealed Friday afternoon.

This is what they were really after. Watch the courts allow it to be used for a show trial.

You're 100% wrong as always.

Ex-Presidents still do have executive privilege. Plenty of court decisions have backed this up.

Even if you were right it could be done with an executive order, but you are wrong so it isn't even necessary.

Oh my God, you truly are just parroting Share Blue!

Trump used his privilege to declassify all these documents. Neither the FBI or Archives gets to say "nuh uh! You have to give them back because they used to be classified!" And SCOTUS case law absolutely backs up Trump on this one

But nice try

The documents the FBI could have come and got wherever they wanted and the ones who the DOJ approved to be stored after being inspected earlier this year.

Even if you are correct, if the former president or his lawyer says they returned them and they didn't, that is a crime.

But you are incorrect so it's a crime covering up a crime.

Sorry Share Blue, the FBI has no jurisdiction over his documents. It's up to the office of the former presidents and the archives to work out what stays and what goes to the archive because NARA has no inherent right to the records either

The corrupt FBI used fake information to imply he had something dangerous like nuclear secrets to get themselves involved and seize all these records

It doesn't exist on any future planned crimes. It absolutely does exist on all past alleged crimes. There would be no point in hiring a lawyer if you couldn't be honest with him about your guilt. If you admit to your attorney you committed a past crime, privilege still exists. If you tell your lawyer you are going to kill someone or lie under Oath, it does not exist.

If the alleged crime was lying to the Feds, that happened before the raid. Documents related to that alleged crime that were privileged should still be privileged.
