Side story:
I was speaking with my kids about the 4th amendment the other day, and wanted to pull up the text of the BoR.
The National Archives own website does not readily produce the text of the BoR.
Instead, it 'tells you what each amendment says' instead of simply printing the text.
This is under a heading "What does [the BoR] say?", where you would expect the actual text of the document to appear:
https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/bill-of-rights/what-does-it-sayI had to dig around on the National Archives website for a good 5 minutes to find a link to a transcription of the 4th amendment.
I thought to myself "this is really absurd, at best, and politically motivated, at worst."
