Purina's Fancy Feast expands into human cuisine, to open NYC pop-up restaurant

Fancy Feast is expanding into human cuisine, with plans to open a pop-up Italian restaurant in New York City with upscale dishes inspired by its canned dinners of fish, chicken and beef.

The Purina cat food brand's eatery will launch this month in downtown Manhattan, where it will serve feline-inspired Italian dishes to humans that "mirror the sensory experience of cats at mealtime," the company said in a press release.

I used to have a cat that loved shrimp. Whenever I would cook it, he would sit next to my feet while I was boiling it. It got to the point that even if just spelled s-h-r-i-m-p he'd appear and loudly meow even when I wasn't cooking any. He was part Siamese so he could really wail when he wanted to.

Some cats are just cool.

A couple of months ago, A big gray and white cat stared at me from across the alley. I brought him some food and the rest is history. He never hesitated to let me pet him, and he ended up sleeping on my car in the garage overnights. This is an alley cat - usually they're not cool with humans. He is the most beautiful cat I have ever known, not just the way he looks. We're best buddies. My dogs just leave it alone. I think he's the alpha of the neighborhood. No one messes with Butch. Let me see if I can load a pic.

I became the adopted human to a grey tabby a little over a year ago. He was laying inside the garbage can off of the porch. he's now an indoor/outdoor cat. Think he might have another family somewhere because he will frequently be gone for a day or two. He's not fixed, so maybe he has a girlfriend somewhere. Lots of barn cats out where we live.

Coincidentally, I was transferring some country music yesterday from my old computer to my newer one, and I discovered that this song hadn't transferred when I bought the new one, so it's where it belongs now.
