I'm sure that is applied fairly by the NFL across the board and is in no way agenda driven.

Compared the capital protest to the george floyd protest. Apparently one was peaceful that the NFL agrees with and the other was an attempt to overthrow the government.

Asked Wednesday about a social media post he made earlier in the week, Del Rio downplayed the deadly insurrection and questioned why the protests in the summer of 2020 after Floyd's death were not receiving the same scrutiny. Del Rio called the Jan. 6, 2021, riot "a dust-up at the Capitol," which he later apologized for.

"He understands the distinction between the events of that dark day and peaceful protests, which are a hallmark of our democracy," Rivera said in the statement, adding that Del Rio had a constitutional right to voice his opinion. "Words have consequences and his words hurt a lot of people in our community. I want to make it clear that our organization will not tolerate any equivalency between those who demanded justice in the wake of George Floyd's murder and the actions of those on Jan. 6 who sought to topple our government."

Since when does "peaceful" describe billions in property damage, thousands injured and dozens murdered?

The Ministry of Truth is working overtime to downplay the sumner riots as just a bunch of hippies holding hands and singing kumbyya while also trying to convince you that the US government was almost overthrown by an unarmed cosplay Buffalo shaman with a hockey stick

Thou Shalt Not Say Anything Negative About Saint Fentanyl Floyd
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

What I would have said would have been one word, when asked the question: No! Then if the media asked to elaborate I would have said, "If I explain my answer I would massacred by you guys. They say you have free speech but again if I explain my answer, I will be treated as if I do not have free speech. I am done answering any type of political questions."

The NFL, NBA, MLB, etc have been off my lists for decades. The are dishonest, corrupt and do not fit my personal values. I do not watch any professional sports except golf and that may change in the near future. The PGA are a bunch of bureaucrats that like to sniff jock straps.

Oh, by the way the BLM movement is a fraud and George Floyd was a criminal. Sure the cop made a mistake but it was not murder. His life is gone.

I was a life-long Cowboys fan but my interest waned as I got older. When all of the social justice warrior kneeling crap started I lost all interest in the NFL and consequently I haven't watched a game in years. I keep wondering if I will ever care about the NFL again. Stories like this destroy any impulse I may possibly have of giving one flying red rat's rump about them.

All of the smash and grab, looters and gang-banging community members were hurt by his comments.

And as with all of these incidents he is a dumbarse for apologizing in any way. He will be fired before year-end either way. Tell them to **** off and have some dignity. He should have plenty of money in the bank.

I'm not sure which of those two bolded words is more unintentionally humorous. Calling a riot where the only one killed was a protester "deadly" or calling that mostly cosplay event an "insurrection."

That is absolutely disgusting. Apparently the coach thinks we live in communist country where we can't express our opinions. And shame on the defensive coordinator for backing down and apologizing. This is truly disgusting.
