It takes a bit post weekend to get the numbers in, especially after a holiday, but last Thursday was also down from the peak.

eta; I posted on this board because obviously its still an issue with Liberals and dems. They are still making decisions based on this data.

It's 2 fold.

1. It's easy to identify and distance from the idiots.

That chart looked at through the lens of Trumps last year in office and Bidens first year in office is really telling when you think about the differences in news coverage and fear mongering.

The biases of the 1st Amendment protected American media had already become a danger to the Republic and now we can add the mental health of the general population to the list.

you can see people (usually asians) wearing masks here in Montgomery County Maryland outside DC

you can see them wearing masks outside by themselves walking

you can see them wearing masks inside of a car by themselves.

are case counts even a useful metric anymore? were they ever? people are testing less often now, and many who do are doing so from home

hospitalizations and background levels in wastewater are generally better

2) for those of you who think these numbers are accurate, you're wrong. People have stopped testing and going to doctors for it, so the numbers don't reflect reality.

There's a thread full of fake statistics and hand wringing that's almost 200 pages on the Aggieland board.

I think honest medical people now believe it was a hoax or at least overblown to enrich the elites.

I talked to a Covid addict yesterday who was telling me about 2 friends that had just tested positive. Then he said it's just like a head cold. I replied so they have a head cold.

The addiction to Covid is insane.

So I drink a lot Gatorade or hot tea.

But strep is usually worse

At some point, you would think we would drop under the average. Lots of olds died a bit early because of COVID.

My son had it last week. It was kind of harsh for him. He was able to work from home though.

Very difficult to predict. You'd think all the 80+ whose death came a couple years sooner than they may have otherwise would drop the number. But how many missed cancers/etc will increase deaths. How many more drug overdoses and suicides?
