Pay Equality?

Quote:

The U.S. Soccer Federation has reached new historic collective bargaining agreements to ensure equal pay and prize money for its men's and women's national teams, it said Wednesday morning, following a years-long battle fought by the four-time World Cup-champion women's national team to guarantee equal compensation.

U.S. Soccer Federation players should all be given a base salary that is equivalent. Then, through a formula based upon their individual performance, the performance of the team they are on, and most importantly, the amount of revenue their team generates, they should receive additional compensation.

A lawyer on YouTube has been covering this. It is an absurd result.

The women's claim had no legal merit. USA Soccer chickened out and refused to honestly litigate the suit. They made a ridiculous agreement with the women and put the ball in the court of the men's players. The men were put under a lot of social pressure to agree to a ridiculous new contract structure.

Ha! They are intentionally ignoring this, which is the most important reason why there is disparity between the pay for men's & women's sports. It's like saying that Tom Cruise should have to share his paycheck with some Indie movie actor cuz "fairness". It's that stupid.

You strike me as someone who doesn't know anything about the arguments against any of your positions sir. You actively advocate to stymie posts from anyone slightly left of you.

Is there a reason for that?

Looking at the deal only the bonus structure is equal, the women still get a mountain of other benefits, including 401k, health insurance, child care, and short term disability.

This agreement is a joke.

I thought the new agreement equalized all that. Because I know Tyler Adam's was really worried about who was going to watch his baby when he's off at NT training.

Women's team can't even beat a U15 boys team.

They should make whatever the U15 teams do. Weakasses.

Which is why the men used to make more.

Your actions and posts clearly display otherwise. If someone has a different opinion than you, that doesnt mean they are a troll, it means they have a different opinion.

If you have a PhD/MD/ED, you surely learned about debate in school.

I dont think they had equal base salaries before however.

This will make it a combination of base salary and performance based compensation.

It truly is fair and doesn't pick and choose based on sexual identity.

There's a reason for that. The women suck, compared to the men....or even teenage boys, for that matter.

No, that's how it was before. Now, it discriminates based on sex.

The men didn't make more, the women did. The women lost their court case because the numbers showed that the women made more overall, and more money per game.

The men had more earning potential, because the women had rejected an identical pay schedule as the men to get a base salary and a heap of benefits.
