Despite millions of dollars of damage, every rioter had their charges dropped.

Sounds like a successful castration of another soy boy to me.

Attorney general could remove Cruezot.

I know they indicted without a victim on one charge. I believe they true billed on that charge too which is amazing. It will be thrown out in court immediately.

The correct answer to that would result in a knock on one's door.

DAs are ripe to be made an example of. There is no justice otherwise. The cops refuse to police their own - everybody is still worried about the pension.

It's hard to believe they can find police officers to work in these Soros DA cities. I'd be looking to move.

Sorry.
We tried the ballot box and they stole the election.
Obviously the jury box isn't working.

Well, people can do what I did. It was a good day when I moved out of the City of Dallas, but it was a great day when I later moved out of Dallas County and get to watch it rot from afar.

Well, Dallas voted for this so to them, "justice" served.

No, the AG can't. There are very few ways a public official such as a DA can be removed. If he is convicted of a felony is really the only way, unless of course he is dis-barred. Then he would not have a law license. Some officials can be removed from office for being a "drunkard." That is vague. It takes more than a DWI. In modern times I don't know of an official who has been removed for this.

As a practical matter, only the voters at election time can remove a DA.

I stand corrected then. I was under the impression that the attorney general could remove a DA for failure to perform his duties.

I fully Exocet the idiot voters in Dallas to re-elect this moron. They will get what they deserve.

Of the large cities, multiple different sources have Houston as having the worst crime in Texas.

Dallas (comparatively) is doing a better job with crime than most other large cities in America, currently. Our Mayor was actually asked to speak in front of Congress recently to discuss what Dallas is doing right where most others are failing. It's not hard to understand why we are doing better - we have a Mayor whose #1 priority is safety and a newer Police Chief that is competent and on the same page as the Mayor. Current Chief replaced our last one who literally went off the grid for months and abdicated her responsibilities as Police Chief.

Unfortunately, we still have this Soros DA in place, but we are doing pretty well with 2 out of 3 public safety figures.

If the cops jailed the DA, what could the DA do about from jail? And to play it further, what if jailed without charge?

Would the DA need to hope that the FBI would come in and break them out of jail?

Similar to the Jan 6th folks. They're mostly being held indefinitely for "trespassing" right?

Eta lol I didn't read the link text. I was talking about the same thing as him though, just a different box to get us there.

The Texas AG office is the civil attorney for the state. They represent state employees when they are sued for performing their official duties, such as prison guards, DPS troopers, etc. But they do not represent elected officials when they are sued.

The AG has VERY little criminal jurisdiction. And to prosecute a criminal matter outside of this limited authority, the AG office has to be invited in by the elected DA. Historically our AG office has had a very, very good criminal prosecutor assistance division. That is not the case now. Several very good and experienced prosecutors and investigators have left the AG office because Paxton will not allow them to prosecute certain individuals (who Paxton has connections with) or does not allow and/or mandates they prosecute matters for purely political purposes.

Bottom line, the Texas AG is the civil lawyer for the state of Texas.

You sure the mayor was? I know Chief Garcia was nominated by the international chiefs organization to speak to congress on behalf of them, and then was invited back a week later.

Garcia recently called out Cruezot for letting violent criminals right back out onto the street.
