The NFL may not lose many viewers and fans in the grand scheme of things with their wokeism but they sure as hell are not adding anybody , it's not like if they don't do this they're going to be fined , so what is their reason for being so woke?

All of this woke stuff came on about the same time as the CTE issues. The liberals were going to put them out of business, but now that they're allies, all is well.

I'm not going to suggest your statement is false, but I think their marketing plan, if you want to call it that, assumes the public (and football fans in general) support the issues they're promotion. At worst, they feel they have a sort of inelastic demand, but instead of price, the demand isn't falling in spite of the nonsense they're supporting. Given the ratings and the TV money they are expecting, it is hard to argue.

The owners should have fired Goodell 5 years ago. They didn't. Probably gave him a raise. I'm afraid way too many talk tough about the NFL and many other corporations who pull this crap but few do anything about it. They won't turn off Sunday afternoon football for anything, just like they won't quit watching late night TV or even network news. They won't quit going to the movies, cancel Netflix, or even cut back on cable.

Conservatives across America could bankrupt mass media but they won't. All they'll do is complain. It wouldn't be so sad if it weren't so simple to do: no letters, no protesting, no getting arrested. All one has to do is STOP doing stuff and STOP paying for stuff. How in the hell hard could that be?

Its like any other big business acting against their interest these days- they hire woke college grads for the front office, together with some older straight white men higher ups with guilt complexes and limousine liberal owners.

I watched the Cowboys every time they were on from 1979 through a few years ago. Now I never watch it. If I still had regular TV I would probably watch some if it was on as I was flipping channels and nothing else was on tv. But with streaming, there is usually something good.

It's a dumb hill to die on. American corporations including the NFL, will continue to evolve.

A gay flag football league seems strangely unnecessary in 2022. Are there flag-football leagues that don't allow gays? Also, if gays want to have their own flag-football league and the NFL is sponsoring this league, and the main reasons are for acceptance and awareness, then why name your championship game the "Gay Bowl"?

Pride Bowl, LGBTQ+ Bowl, or any number of names.
