California has more registered Republicans than any other state. They're just dwarfed by the number of Democrats in that hellhole state. But being from that area carries a lot of political clout.

How? Republicans have absolutely no power in that State for the supposed "independent" counsel that is in charge of the voting redistricting has made it so a Republican will never ever see a majority in their legislature.

In fact, the Democrats have a super majority.

Trump received more votes in California than he did in Texas. California politics is dominated by Southern California and Silicon Valley, unfortunately.
