I think of myself as patriotic to the Providencial hand of God and the ideals that created this great nation. Not to the degeneracy that much of it embraces today.

Yep, this place is a ****ing ****fest. The establishment loves it when we fly our flags as its a sign of our servitude to their goals and objectives (that being ****ing us over).

I love what this nation was but that place hasn't existed in a long time.

I always find my patriotism peaking right before April 15th.

Patriotism stems from pater in Greek that means father.

In the original sense of patriotism, the king acted as a father of his nation. He would issue justice and mercy as a father managing the household. That being said the correct way to lead is the fiduciary-king, modeled after God and His kingdom.

Don't know anymore. I used to get emotional at the SSB. I was proud to say I was American oversees. I wanted to join the military.

My loyalties in order:
God
Wife
Kids
Church
Texas

Federal government overreach and abuse has killed most of my patriotism. I have no faith in our system at all. Maybe it can be restored? Maybe not.

I still salute the flag, say the pledge, and stand and sing our anthem --- for the idea of what America should be --- not what it currently is.

But the only flag I would wrap myself in is the Lone Star flag OR the Zavala Flag.

I was actually in the military.

I am loyal to our constitution as it should be the guiding light of our nation. The unscrupulous "leaders" and appointees that exploit it and our people for their own self gain should be lined up and shot in a public manner.

That's my patriotism. We cant have a country that is a bedrock of opportunity for my children if we allow jackals to suck the life out of it.

I gave up flying the American flag during the Obama administration. I now just fly the Texas flag.

I would like to think serving in the army for 26 years makes me patriotic. We have the best country in the world and I have seen a few. But this topic makes me stop and think that it is getting harder to be a patriot to a country where leadership does not share my values.

Our geography, heritage, and founding principles (most important) are the MOST concrete notions of patriotism, not least or less at all.

I am patriotic because I know the Constitution is the governing document at the federal level and states have their own rights. I know that there is no Constitutional right for one state to have to pay for the bad decisions of another, and that the power of the federal government is limited to the enumerated powers in the Constitution.

To be called a nation you need borders. We now have no borders so we have no nation. Besides, everything patriotic is being cancelled.
