He recently put out this video about the Holodomor and the great suffering Ukraine experienced under the Soviet Union. There is no wonder why they would resist Russian predation so hard.

This event IMO is the single most incredibly powerful untold crime of our modern history. I read about it years and years ago and have come across maybe a half dozen people at most that have even heard of it at all.

If y'all want to know even more, though Simon in the video above does a great job breaking it down as usual, I recommend a book called the Harvest of Sorrow. I actually would not be surprised if Simon did not source some of his material from that book.

There is another called Red Famine that is on my TBR list and will probably jump the queue with current events. Highly rated book as well.

I knew George Bernard Shaw was a huge commie supporter, but didn't know Duranty was.

To a degree, I can forgive many of those folks who "admired" and supported the communists and fascists. It was the first time in history those two systems were created and used.

I'm 100% ruthless on those supporters today. ANYONE who can read, or takes the time to review the results, would know the evil they produced and the 70 to 100 million murdered.

Awful. As were the mass starvations of Mao that killed even more. Massive famine. A shift in production based upon ideology. Massive theft. Not exactly the same ether. No Kulaks in China obviously. Less overtly intentional, but the results were the same. Tens and tens of millions of dead.

Is this a new name by an academic trying to make 'fetch' happen? I knew that the soviets starved folks - but never heard of the name.

The history we learn... That Hitler was evil supreme, Stalin was just the Soviet leader in WWII, and Mao was some Chinese leader (if he is even discussed at all)... whitewashes the horrors of communism in the 20th century.
