Cue the outrage. The American Academy of Pediatrics called the recommendation "irresponsible." The Infectious Diseases Society of America accused Dr. Ladapo of putting "politics over the health and safety of children." White House press secretary Jen Psaki jabbed: "It's deeply disturbing that there are politicians peddling conspiracy theories out there and casting doubt on vaccinations."

Dr. Ladapo is doing no such thing. He is merely acknowledging the abundant scientific evidence that Covid-19 poses a negligible risk to healthy children, which makes it impossible to know if the benefit of vaccination outweighs the risk.......

It is irresponsible to give children any medication that we do not have any information on long term side effects.

The IDSA is putting it's own politics above the health and safety of children.

It is deeply disturbing that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is peddling untested and ineffective vaccines for children.

I'm not aware of any professional medical orgs that exist for purposes other than collecting dues from their members. Statements from these types of organizations do not necessarily reflect consensus of opinion.

Florida is a great example of the value of competition. Texas has been strong red for so long the republican party tolerates the parasitic good old boys like Abbott. Florida had to run real conservatives to fire up the base to win.

Until we have the control to redistrict like CA, NY and IL do and make Democrats defacto extinct like they've done to Republicans in their states , we'll get nothing but mushy Dem Lite candidates like Abbott

AAP is nothing but a Democrat PAC at this point. I stopped paying them when they came out against a Louisiana abortion bill several years ago. For the health of all children my butt.

The evidence clearly supports the stance if the surgeon General of Florida. I have been saying that we need to use risk stratification for COVID vaccines in children and it is what I have been advising in my patient population.

There was enough info available even back in April of 2020 to know that the risks to kids from CoVID were so infinitesimal that there were no interventions, whether that be masks or pharmaceutical, needed for them.

Everything we've done since then has been harming kids (psychologically, emotionally, physiologically) under the guise of "protecting" them. The vaccine is no different.
