What is Joey B's rational behind not using American oil to fill in for any shortages we will have due to not buying Soviet oil anymore? And I understand why we are buying Soviet Oil in the first place; I get that.

What is his hard on vs the American O&G industry?

Why is he asking the Saudis, Venezuelan's and Iranians to pump oil so we can buy what we need from them?

Why does he always say he is going to withdraw 20-30-50 million bbls of oil out of the Petroleum Reserve when he has to replace what he takes out in a predetermined (by law) time frame?

His attitude towards the common everyday American is so condescending and totally scary for our future.

I feel like you know the answer to this question.

His rationale is sabotage directed at the working class / middle class -- to make people feel so much economic pain that they increase their dependency on the government and to help ensure that small businesses are stifiled by high inflation and fuel costs that they can NEVER build anything to compete or threaten the techno oligarchs and woke corporations ---- (Amazon, Google, Meta, Target, Walmart, Blackrock)

The radical green part of the democrat party hates oil and they think C02 is going to kill the planet. Now trees and grass eat C02 and need it to survive, but the sea will rise 2 ft in the next decade if we don't act fast.

He is going to have a harder time getting 81 million votes in the next election if we drill for more oil around here given the "fact" that it will lead to entire ecosystems collapsing and more humans dying. Although I must admit, dead people tend to vote Democrat at a rate of 9 to 1 so maybe it won't be too hard after all.

I will take this one and twist it a bit to a potential real world reason. There is valid thought to the notion that he's playing the carbon credits game with oil. IOW, we will still use O&G but we will offset that by having it produced elsewhere so we can claim to be more green within our own borders.

For an example happening right now, Companies are now playing this ridiculous game with their ESG scores and claiming reductions in carbon usage because they've created a mythical accounting offset somewhere else. It's the most ridiculous shell game ever.

Sorry if this is long winded but I'll try.

1. American emergency independence is an issue I concede the point on. Yes to Keystone XL, yes to safe / conservationist drilling in the arctic. Variable production grids cannot store energy in the quantities needed to fuel society. We still run on hydrocarbons and we shouldn't buy any of it from dictators. We are responsible for making our enemies richer (Russia and China) and having to deal with the blowbacks of tyrants that truly hate free speech and want to use force to take our freedom away. It's time for America to trade with partners that share our values, and be self and be mostly self reliant in critical infrastructure and energy.

2. The cavalier attitude Conservatives take towards the real threat of global warming never ceases to frustrate me. Y'all preach the folly of government manipulation of markets as verboten with bad unintended consequences, but shrug when we burn ****loads more of CO2 into an atmosphere than nature would on its own. When every scientific experiment concludes that more CO2 will in general trap more heat than would otherwise happen. That causes warming. Messing with the climate, like markets, creates unintended consequences that end badly for humans. A long term energy policy must be getting away from burning fuels.

3. The only realistic option is nuclear power. No emissions, stable energy production. We can do fission now. We must start. We should invest heavily in fusion, which won't blow up the world if it messes up.

What "real threat" is that? Because nothing they have predicted has proven to be true regarding global warming… the "science" is absolutely not settled.

Do you think conservatives are against nuclear power? The left and their Green New Deal, preach about saving the environment and alternative energy but never acknowledge or support the role nuclear can play in helping achieve their goals? Why do you think that is?

I think this is close. But maybe it's more that the small oil and gas companies are more of a threat to the viability of their green energy kick back rat holes.
