Well democrats hate poor people. They only tolerate them for their votes. Now that they don't need votes to win elections they can cast them to the curb permanently.

Wow, I was just putting my thoughts together to start a thread like this. Mine would have been much more long-winded, so I'm happy this thread was started.

I just got the cheapest gas I could in TX south of San Antonio for $3.79 a gallon. Holy Hell!! I've been a truck driver for 3.5 years and I'm doing okay financially now, but if I had faced this gas price 4 years ago, it would have been devastating.

Democrats, your party has abandoned the people it purports to support and champion. The gas price is only part of the problem, but a huge part.

How can you keep supporting this party when it is so poisonous for the poor?

Disagree. I believe that the Dems/Libs Love Poor people so much that they try to make more of them every day.

The Dems need victims to make them feel good.

Their history has always been about marginalizing a demographic. Then, they circle back around to save that group with promises of free things. It is a rinse and repeat pattern. They never truly build back better by lifting the marginalized group up. The lower the standards of the middle class while inflating their position and monetary worth.

I have changed my view of Democrats over the years. I used to think they wanted to solve the same problems as we did just with more money and government interaction, then I thought they were ignorant of the facts, than I thought they just were not very smart, than I thought they wanted people to be empoverished, than I thought they were evil. Now I believe they are selfish. They are so blinded by growing their wealth and power they don't even think about other people. It's not hate it's apathy. And that is what makes the Democrat party of today so dangerous…they literally don't care whether you exist or not.

You have to be one dumb SOB if you are poor to think Dems are on your side. But maybe you are poor because you are one dumb SOB. The DNC thanks you for your stupidity

High oil prices is racist.....I think that's how it works. To be honest though the highest prices I've seen have been in South Dallas with a high minority population.

I love it when people call folks *****ing about expensive gas little *****es or tell them to suck it for the greater good and point back to 2007-8. They are completely out of touch with reality and forget that some folks are on fixed incomes with very little elasticity in their monthly budgets. It's the definition of limousine liberalism.

Socialism ultimately makes everybody poor, except for the ruling elites (Democrats).
Trump will fix it.

What's scary about this new wave of Dems is that they actually think they're solving the world's problems, but they're far more disconnected from reality than their predecessors. Ask them how a well goes from exploration to production and you're likely to get a 'Big Oil Bad' emotional rant.

Thank the Left in Europe and the U.S. for their War against Gas and Oil. It got us into a shooting war in Europe.

Now, Green Energy is now passe'. The train left the station.

It's such an interesting dichotomy. Some may think the parties have switched, but they haven't. Just like they did not switch in the 60's. I think conservatives are still conservatives, and progressives are still progressives. The biggest difference is before many conservatives dominated the corporate power structures and progressives dominated everything like academia, media and bureaucracy. Thanks to progressive academia, the progressives now dominate all the major power structures. This is why I think you have had a switch with the blue collars back to their conservative roots. So progressives are still progressives now they just have the power and they are not afraid to use to get their will. History repeats itself so much. This really feels much like France before their revolution. We have even had multiple "Let them eat cake" moments.
