A few things. Is it normal for an officer not to leave if the person pulled over said they are not leaving until they speak to a supervisor? Then since when does a supervisor leave the office to come to check on things? The whole things seems pretty strange!

Why did she not feel comfortable just driving away after issuing the citations. I've seen that several times.

Yep. Supervisors get called to stops all the time. If someone asks, we would request a sergeant. 10 times out of 10, they got the same explanation from the sarge they got from us. It's akin to Karens calling the manager.

It seemed like it was policy - she said she could not leave because he was not leaving and requested a supervisor.

This is policy ?

I'm thinking if I said I was requesting a supervisor I would get get told good luck with that if you have a problem appeal the number and information is on the back.

Would depend on the department, I assume. I honestly can't remember if ours was codified into policy, but when a SGT was requested, we stayed until they got there.

I had to acclimate to driving on the left side when I was in Wales. I got a call from plant security after the 1st day saying their cameras showed someone in a car matching my rental driving on the wrong side of the road, and if that was me please me careful not to do that.

What an ahole. Funny to actually see him lying about an encounter that is on video regarding the registration request. She was completely professional and asked him numerous times for it. He didn't produce it until he got cited

Don't they often have to stay there with their lights on until you get moving and merge with traffic?

One time when one of my brothers was stopped and issued a citation, he sat there and read everything a couple of times and then neatly filed it away and just sat there doing nothing. FInally, the state trooper who stopped him walked up and knocked on the window and asked him politely to please go on because he could not leave until my brother left.

I love it. The old school, get out of the car and wait for the officer.

When my brother who resembled Santa Claus once got stopped by a local officer who was brand new as a police officer, he naturally got out of his pickup. The officer got so excited by this unexpected behavior that he got out of his car immediately without putting it in park. So the car ran into my brother's truck causing a little damage to his fender and headlight.

The officer then spent a while trying to find a headlight to replace the one he broke.

When he admitted to the chief what he had done, the chief burst out in laughter and said, "You stopped Santa! And you ran into his sleigh!"

I chuckled when I saw the video last week. His fly was down during the entire encounter.

My brother is a cop in Dallas. He's occasionally gotten the, "do you know who my dad is" line. He responds with, "no, and I bet you don't either."

If this chump was still running I would be tempted to donate to a democrat to keep him out of office.
