I've heard the rapid tests are just the opposite, lots of false negatives. This freebie batch could be different, depending on the motive.

Has anyone does research on that app they make you download? Not that the NSA needs any help but id wager there's at least a decent chance that app is a Trojan horse for government spyware.

There's no need for the app. It's a timer and a reporting tool. If you have a smartphone, you already have a stopwatch

Tried it just to see if it popped positive. After 15 mins, it was showing negative

We've suffered from a TERRIBLE cold. Knocked the whole family out for 2 or 3 weeks so far.

3 doctors have told us, upon seeing a negative covid, flu, and strep test, that they are very suspicious of covid tests right now, and that they don't quite trust them at this time.

They think there are, as others have said, lots of false results, NOT showing covid.

That being said, what we had is really survivable, and a tough inconvenience for work.

This brand of rapid testing is only accurate for high viral load. They're a useful diagnostic tool when you need a quick result, but much more accurate when spaced apart by 24hrs.

In other news, my truck won't run on water, soda, or orange juice even though I can put it in tank lol.

What high is high enough? Why 24 hours and not 36 or 48? Sort of like cloth masks are ok because we don't want to short supply the medical field and 6 feet is better than 4 feet but not as good as 8 feet. 10 days might be too much, but 5 days is now good enough. Two shots are good, the third shot is better, but we are still thinking about a fourth shot. Kids need a vax despite two years of data because we think it makes them more protected, disregarding the vax has been in existence for a little over a year.

Just seems a little too muddy.

It's a qualitative test, so it depends on what the limit of detection happens to be.

24hrs is just the minimum amount of time you want to wait between tests, since this is supposed to be a rapid diagnostic. Waiting 36 or 48hrs would give you an even better idea as to whether or not you have it, since your viral load would continue increasing to measurable levels.
