What an article. CM lefitst suburb moms just now realizing that dems aren't all they say they are. The reason? COVID and what they are doing to their kids. Bethany and Tracy and Ashley just waking up.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10428729/Lefts-Covid-hysteria-driving-wave-liberal-moms-away-Democrats-writes-BETHANY-MANDEL.html

some nuggets...
Quote:

She told me, 'All the things that Biden and Kamala believe in; and what the Democratic Party believe in… I still believe in it. But I have to look at what's happening in my family and with my children right now.'

She went on, describing how she'll vote in the future, 'Until [Democrats] can present someone that's logical, I'm going to have to make choices. Right now, my choices are very much based on my children and my children getting an education.'

'If that can be solved, then I can worry about other things that are important to me, like gun control, and the environment and universal healthcare. I can't do that until I know my kids are good.'

She went from a casual viewer of CNN and MSNBC to seeking out Fox News clips about the 'schools issue' on YouTube because they were the only ones covering it.

Soon, she did the unthinkable: She just turned on Fox News itself. And she realized, 'It's not what CNN claims it to be.'

Ashley (a pseudonym), a mother of three from Central New Jersey, fumed, 'I hate when Democrats like Biden get all defensive and say that 95% of schools are open right now. They are being willfully ignorant and not paying attention that even though schools are 'open' they are NOT NORMAL.'

Good to see that some people have finally been pushed to their limit and are waking up, but it's hard to feel any sympathy because they brought it on themselves for voting personality over policies.

Biden and Harris have been a disaster for this country and will thankfully end up being an even bigger one for their own Party. I am praying 2022 is a year for correcting electoral misdeeds and putting firewalls in place so it can never happen again.

"'Until [Democrats] can present someone that's logical, I'm going to have to make choices."

That comment should just about strip all hope on its own. When it comes down to the wire, she is an emotionally-driven child that will focus on the person rather than platform and the documented history of the candidates' policy decisions. Same story every cycle...a few of the right or wrong words here and there and the venomous input of puppet media and she'll be right back in the bucket.

People aren't "waking up" by going from CNN to Fox. They are both propaganda outfits used by the establishment to keep people fenced in to two lanes of thought.

I was hopeful but after reading the quote basically saying "once my kids are good I can get back to gun control and the environment and universal health care" , I'm not so sure. These people are simply not very bright. They can't see that the same political philosophy that says they will take care of those issues will destroy their lives. These moms would move to Texas "for the schools" and then complain about the guns.

Democrats have made parents a demographic. By continuously attacking their ability to make decisions for them and their household, they are forcing the parents to take a hard look at politics (which they would prefer to ignore).

The best way to get mauled by a bear is to threaten her cubs, and the democrats just keep right on poking the bear. Instead of patching together a coalition of white liberals, blacks, Hispanics, and Alphabet army, they are dividing those groups even further into liberal parents, black parents, Hispanic parents and diluting their coalition by ostracizing the parents within the groups.

I love it, hope they keep quadrupling down on their policies so we see Virginia happen across the nation.

It reads and looks like an onion article...Ashley and Tracy and Bethany have been whining leftists all their lives but when it affects their kids, OMG these democrats!

even the picture looks like something off onion or babylon bee...

How about you just say, "Welcome aboard, lets keep our kids safe and FJB"?

Definitely a concern but she sounds like a typical LIV that is easily influenced and votes on emotion. She has watched CNN and MSNBC for all her info, probably The View as well. Now she is watching Fox a little. She is seeing that other viewpoints aren't evil. That there is more than one way to look at issues. It's usually a long process for folks to Red Pill because it means they have to essentially admit they were either wrong or naive and they have to risk going against the flow of friends and family. It takes time but at least this is a glimmer of hope.

Disagree. That mentality empowers them to accept responsibility for poor choices. If they can't learn that simple lesson then it would be doing our ideology a disservice accepting their ideology among our own.

Let's be clear, anyone that is in favor of government controlled, universal health care is not sitting in the political center or even center-left. That person is a socialist and has a very long way to go to be 'welcomed' to 'the other side'.

She discovering Fox is accurately portraying covid and what's happening in schools and that MSM is not.

Soon she'll discover the truth about BLM , the border, and the economy.

The Republicans need to follow Youngkin's game plan on children and education and not get derailed on the 2020 election and social issues.

People want confirmation that their feelings and intuitions are correct and are generally comfortable with the first bits of evidence that confirm what they already believe or wish to be true. It's only when a reality radically deviates from that construct of comfortable self deception that most people are forced to face uncomfortable realities and deal with them more properly and realign their beliefs and understanding, hopefully with better information and not simply a more comforting stronger ideology.

This is where conservatives and liberals diverge: conservatives are biased towards what has worked and what is, and find complacency with that, while liberals are somewhat more comfortable with an idea of what could or should be, and that is where their biases lay. Sometimes the liberals discover something new and more effective or make a change that better accommodates changing conditions, but their forays into possibility naturally have a high failure rate, because conditions and environments tend to change slowly and gradually such that what has worked in the past largely remains reliable for a long window, and the comfort area of conservatives generally remains largely valid for considerable duration. The conservatives will simply be correct relying on the tried and tested more often. You need both approaches to retain stability and reliability while discovering new potential and correcting for gradual changes in conditions. The liberals simply need to understand they will inherently be in error more often, and their enthusiasm for change should not extend towards an impossible and reckless radical Utopianism.

Down deep these morons still value emotion over logic. They can put on a fake show but they shouldn't be trusted to exercise wise judgement because somewhere down the road they WILL stab you in the back.
Covidians, Communists, CNN, FOX, and all other MSM are enemies of the state and should be treated as such.

The whole argument is that these 'moms' were asleep. They were on auto-pilot and just voting what social media/media told them. They are not activists. If they wake up and understand what is at stake (their children) then we should welcome them.

If you want to be bitter - that is on you. Just please do not be at the forefront shouting down or being negative to new conservatives or voters for the conservative platform.

I'm all for getting people to vote Republican, even if it's a single issue voter. I am far from bitter.

You mentioned 'Center' in your original reply and I pointed out that the person in the example posted is a far left socialist and has far to go to be on the other team. She'll hopefully help push the Dems a bit away from the crazy far left and she'll be happy to vote for a Dem that has moved away some from Covid crazy for schools.

I would be glad to have a discussion with someone like this about the issues she mentioned including gun control and try to convince them, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

CMs are just a byproduct of their environment, never had any hard challenges in their life and take the easy road. They want to be manipulated and feel they are the victim so they can say they went through some kind of hard ship or are oppressed.

If they could take a step back and see what the democratic party has done the past 20 years they would see all of the hate and lies they are spewing. But no republicans are bad, racist, sexist, etc. so we must voice our opinions on social media while we sit in our middle class houses with food in the pantry and a car in the driveway.

They are surprised a racist child molester and a woman who slept herself to the top with no talents are doing bad? Idiots

Until she realizes her world view is based on the same lies and liars she now thinks are harming her children, she will vote D and fail to see she's part of the problem.

'Voting rights' are cheating pathways for Dems.

It is almost bizarre the way they think. I still think the emotional/"im a good person"/empathetic side of their brains work in such a way that it overrides the logic and reason sides of their brain. How can people think they are doing so much to help others or make things better while literally doing the exact opposite. Strange.
