They can get together to see how they can bring pressure (lobbying, town halls, etc.) to their politicians by showing them that both sides are demanding something be done to stop that which both sides say they're concerned about.

Regardless of how repulsive it is that this happens, it's not the business of the United States to interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and doing so could have any number of grave consequences.
