They didn't create the virus or spread it, but they certainly have selfishly exploited it as much as politically possible by driving irrational fear and ignoring data and science inconvenient to their narratives. We have some of the more idiotic national policies regarding this disease, particularly with therapeutic approaches, natural immunity, and risks to children, and only federalism has saved us from Canada or Australia levels of stupid.
