These people were breaking the law, intimidating students, threatening grades, and ignoring a sitting governor's orders. That was not a call to action, that was a thread making people aware of what was happening at our school.

BOOOOOOO I mean SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Can we also not name businesses requiring masks or vaccination, and encouraging boycotts or writing to elected officials? Both of those are off board actions.

That thread was essentially the same thing. There are plenty of threads about actions or positions by A&M professors/leadership that call for ending donations or writing to someone, both of which are off board actions.

I did see that. And thanks for the reply.

But do you not see a difference in this versus the things from last year?

You can argue, rightfully so, that last year's events were a bit of a witchhunt.

The information discussed here today, however, is:
1. Political in nature
2. Definitely A&M related
3. In violation of University policies
4. In violation of state policies

And gathering relevant information is on topic for the thread.

I agree harassing is not to be tolerated, but this is mostly information gathering and some venting.

it is ultimately your call, of course. I would just hope for a little more leeway on this, this time around.

Come on staff. Are you just going to put your fingers in your ears and ignore what is going on at our campus?

We can discuss the issue but not what needs to be done to correct the issue (not harassing, just gathering information to later direct to the proper authoritues)? That's weak.

I understand it's your business and you can choose what and what not to allow, but that's a cheap cop out when people are trying to defend the law and ultimately the respect and reputation of our university.

The problem is that these state employees are paid for by us. We pay their salary and we pay for them to break the law literally and break our kids figuratively in their teaching. Collage campuses have become leftist trash led by leftist profs. The job of a vet prof is to teach students how to care for animals. Instead we are paying them to be mouthpieces for the left.

Silencing discord and speech is always a good idea.

This is a terrible take. Members of civilized society quite often stand up for others being oppressed even if the issue does not directly effect everyone.

Based on one posters assertion. It's the second time in the last two weeks that he's started a thread complaining about the vet school.

Someone better inform the OUTDOOR FORUM. There is some major off board action going over there. And a huge public service for those in need many times.

Very weird times we are in.

The moderation for this board would fit in very well in Australia. But it is their board, so they can do with it what they want.

Especially since the A&M gestapo covid investigation department has their thumb on the students throats.

Is reminding people that they voted for the current president* who's administration implemented policies that resulted in terrible catastrophes acceptable? Because I just got a 3 day ban for it.

Something that is a good public service?

Professors violating the law by awarding students with extra points to comply to their mandates and to shame others who do not seems to be a good public service?

It's almost as if any kind of resistance that dissents is being driven underground by any kind of social media out there.

Not saying TexAgs doesn't want to do right by A&M,, but you'd figure they'd at least let people expose some of the illegal BS that is going on in this taxpayer-funded university on their site.
