So pretty interesting stuff below. Can anyone debunk any of this?

Found the interview from the other Covid Truth thread posted here and started reading and researching a bit on Dr Martin. I have not tried to look up the patents he lists yet though.

He claims that there is nothing "novel" about this SARS-2 and that all of the gene sequences and related things, have been patented since early 2000s. It started with animal/vet vaccine patents and then Fauci got involved wanting to use the virus as a vector to transmit HIV vaccines to humans. UNC/Baric then created/patented an infectious replication of COV that targeted human lung tissue in 2002. This happened several months prior to the Asia outbreak of SARS.

Also claims the patent office rejected it (2006/2007, SARS) a few times because it was already in the public domain, but then paid appeal fines and somehow overrode the rejection to get the patent. Then also paid to have the info kept secret. 3 days after patent was accepted, Sequoia Pharm (rolled into Pfizer, J&J, etc.) filed a patent for the treatment.

Also here is a link to an article about Peter Daszak in an interview just a few weeks before the Wuhan announced an outbreak.

Also notes a few quotes from the bad actors:

2016 quote from Ralph Baric (UNC prof) working on GOF research:
Science Daily article

2015 Peter Daszak quote:
"We need to increase public understanding of the need for medical countermeasures such as a pan-coronavirus vaccine. A key driver is the media, and the economics will follow the hype. We need to use that hype to our advantage, to get to the real issues. Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of the process."

Im trying to actually find the quote above. Supposedly published by the National Academies Press in Feb 12, 2016.

Like you I am trying to validate much of what Dr. Martin proposes. He seems to have a wide range of historical interests. Reviewing Patents is not at the top of my list. In response to one of your questions:

The document is titled:
Rapid Medical Countermeasure Response to Infectious Diseases: Enabling Sustainable Capabilities Through Ongoing Public- and Private-Sector Partnerships: Workshop Summary.
National Academies Press (US); 2016 Feb 12
is available at:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK349040/

the quote you asked about is on p. 73:
Daszak stated:
"To sustain the funding base beyond the crisis, he said, we need to increase public understanding of the need for MCMs such as a pan-influenza or pancoronavirus vaccine. A key driver is the media, and the economics follow the hype. We need to use that hype to our advantage to get to the real issues. Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of process…"

This is relatively close to the quote you transcribed:
"We need to increase public understanding of the need for medical countermeasures such as a pan-coronavirus vaccine. A key driver is the media, and the economics will follow the hype. We need to use that hype to our advantage, to get to the real issues. Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of the process."
