With all that's been going on, I wanted to take a brief moment to give thanks to the Bush family (except P), Mitt and a host of other "Rs", the Lincoln Project, Never Trumpers, and others supposedly on the conservative side of policy for helping to give to the American people our current administration of Biden/Harris. Each day the wisdom of their actions become clearer, much like Mississippi mud. You will all be held responsible by future generations for your roles in this calamity. So Thanks for screwing America.

That is all.

I will judge the future Republican candidate for POTUS on the level of support he gave...or failed to give...to the previous Republican President.

If you were backing the coup attempt or looking for a place to hide while it was all going down, then you can look somewhere else for votes.

I like a lot of stuff W did, but the stank on his antiTrump actions is going to smell for a long time. Misguided loyalty to his brother and his dad.

Quote:

The Fabian Society is a British socialist organisation whose purpose is to advance the principles of democratic socialism via gradualist and reformist effort in democracies, rather than by revolutionary overthrow.

According to author Jon Perdue, "The logo of the Fabian Society, a tortoise, represented the group's predilection for a slow, imperceptible transition to socialism, while its coat of arms, a 'wolf in sheep's clothing', represented its preferred methodology for achieving its goal."[9] The wolf in sheep's clothing symbolism was later abandoned, due to its obvious negative connotations.

I post this knowing how criticizing the Bush family often results in a ban.

Classy guys don't send other people's sons off to fight a war that ur daddy was too stupid to finish.

A classy guy would have taken out Osama Bin Laden and kept us out of a meaningless war that destabilized a region and led to Americans dying and getting maimed and trillions in tax payer debt.

After seeing the widespread chaos that resukted from his classy actions i am not entirely sure Gore wouldn't have been a better bet.

Because then Gore would have had something else to do rather than spread the propaganda of global warming.

Conservatives who continue to elect faux-Republicans and impose zero expectations should receive some blame. Who do you think will hold them responsible? The political narrative created by Democrats media propaganda has successfully made conservatives believe that Democrats and their media are only to blame.

I have blamed certain Republicans for years. Whether it be Bob Michael & Bob Dole or Speaker Ryan & Mitch, I've blamed them plenty over the years. Mitch has pushed along some policies I like but still a little confused on him.

It's not any faux Republicans I don't like, because I'd rather have them counted with our numbers. It's the ones who get in leadership that screw it all up.

W Bush, McCain, and Romney were the Republican presidential candidates covering how many years? The GOP puts those individuals into leadership positions. Why hasn't conservatives held the GOP accountable? The entire organization is obviously corrupt and doesn't represent their constituents.

4 elections, 12 years. Trump was trying to reverse that, not because he's always been a conservative republican, but because he could see out country circling the drain and the gop was most likely to help him - an opportunist. Then after he was elected, he successfully governed as a conservative despite Ryan. And that's why he had to go, at least according to some.

If F 16 would have been in that press conference then knowing what they know now there's no way GWB could have dodged all the shoes hurled his way.

In retrospect there was no one other than Reagan before Trump. All the others were Rinos/deep state/establishment, and the GOP was just getting with nominees and a POTUS before it met its one true love in Trump.

Can you give some examples of Trump's conservative policies that were implemented? He failed to appoint an AG that would or could uphold the law. The congressional Republican leadership was totally corrupt and incompetent...they weren't conservatives.

Obamacare wasn't repealed and abortions are still federally funded. The Trump administration's unconstitutional guidelines for government shutdowns and mask mandates. Not conservative.

Zero DC Democrats were brought to justice, Democrats domestic terrorism organizations BLM/ANTIFA never stopped. Those are monumental failures that killed our justice system allowing Democrats to steal the election.

Trump did appoint SC justices...time will tell if they are conservatives. Cutting taxes while increasing spending isn't conservative.

Yeah I know. My sarcasm meter is down today.

The sad thing about all this is that Trump's biggest failure was in his faith in government processes and the people behind them.

He didn't catch on until it was too late.

A bit more Reagan-like suspicion of those operating the government would have been useful in holding those who attempted to spy on Trump when he was President-elect, use fraudulent dossiers to obtain illegal FISA warrants, blackmail and falsify evidence against Trump advisors, and engage in impeachment proceedings based upon the third-person testimony of an unprincipled coward of an officer accountable for their actions.

isitjustme

You're right, Trump couldn't get everything done but he got a lot of conservative policies and ideas enacted. The first 9 month Ryan and McConnell thought he was going to be ousted.

Then he had about 15 months of actual help out of Congress, and he got some good stuff done.

Then Pelosi took over, sham impeachments, and Covid. He amazingly got more conservative stuff done during that. Not bad for an outsider who was fairly moderate prior to 2015.
