Independent artist Tom McDonald's new rap song mocking "snowflakes" is going viral on YouTube, racking up more than 3.5 million views in 72 hours.

The Canadian-born artist told Inked Magazine earlier this year that when he started out he rhymed about girls, guns, and other typical topics. "I didn't know much about [hip-hop], but that's what my favorite rappers were rapping about so that's what I did," MacDonald said. "Four years ago, after a pretty lengthy battle with alcoholism, I had a really massive mental lapse and a bad breakdown that lasted the better part of a year. During the rehabilitation process, I cleaned myself up, figured out what was important to me and what I wanted to talk about. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me, but also the best thing that ever happened. It taught me who I was, essentially."

He made a good point "if America is so racist, why are you encouraging immigration"

Easy dollar to spend to support an artist that gets it.

I'm a wannabe fan. He has many songs that are 70% nails but then 30% meh. Probably a function of his home-produced and weekly released structure. I'll listen to his stuff because there's no challengers in his domain, but I think he's established enough now that it would be wise to shift his model from maintaining platform relevance via frequency to a more deliberate model where "getting it right" supercedes schedule.

Go listen to a lot of his songs.. great.. No Lives Matter, People So Stupid, Clown World, Fake Woke. Don't agree with everything he says but he is a free thinker.

Smart move having Blaire White in the video. So if YouTube tries to censor it we can accuse them of being transphobic.

I imagine it is difficult to get the message out you want and make it flow real nice too, either way it's better than 99% of the mumble rappers out there

Not my cup of tea, but at least his music has balls. Something that's been on short supply for decades.
